Main Comic on Hiatus, Prequel Novel Running

I guess when news falls off the main page, people wonder what's going on with the comic. Xin's mom passed away, and the
main comic is on hiatus while she works her way through the life adjustments and pain that brings. There will be 1 more issue
comprising Book 2, and that will run sometime in 2012. In the meantime, I am writing and posting a full-length prequel novel, with
occasional illustrations as Xin can manage. This may continue into March or April or even into the summer. We'll see how it goes,
and as far as I am concerned, Xin can take as long as she needs before she's ready to return. Thanks for understanding.

Original Concept Scripts in the Toolbox

The story that eventually became Erfworld was originally conceptualized after meeting Tim Buckley of Ctrl-Alt-Del on a panel at Katsucon in 2003. He said he was looking to branch out and might want to collaborate. I said I wanted to write a story that tied together all my fantasy-themed strips from PartiallyClips. We started working on a concept for a webcomic I described as "Fantasy's answer to Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy." The concept was essentially the same story as Erfworld: a gamer is summoned to a Fantasy world to be a warlord. The working title was "Kenny Bogansky: Interdimensional Warrior." Tim and I planned for a couple of months, but both of us had to give in to other creative demands, and put the project on the shelf.

Only four of the original scripts have survived through two CPU crashes. I will be posting them to the Toolbox, one at a time.
