That's not the kind of Signamancy I'm talking about, though. I'm referring to his naming stuff, and coming up with conceptuals and assigning them a term that defines them.

I kinda like the Parson-Retconjuration theory... it fits pretty well with his role in the comic of fighting against a pre-ordained fate (equivalent to an already written story?)

Perhaps the predictamancers looked ahead and saw that the "game" would be won by Charlescomm. That's whey they realized that they would need magic of a whole new level, a level that exists only outside of Erfworld, to combat fate.

This theory doesn't get around the very valid "Rob would be a jerk if he said that there are no Retconjurers on Erfworld when there is one" argument though.
