If any of you ever played Titan, you might recall there's a 2-tier map system. The main map has coarse-grained features, and each type has a mini-map you use for fighting it out. The mini-maps have a variety of features which are more or less indicative of the overall terrain type.

Which also raises the question of what terrain is off-limits to units. Can any units swim, for example? Would they croak as soon as they tried, or would they simply be like a Stupidworld native who never learned to swim and flounder about before drowning? Can some units cross rough terrain or lava that others cannot?
But of course that's just my opinion.

The bridge clearly does not have the width to it to make up the entire side of a hex. The hex has a part of it that is land, a part of it that is water, and maybe a part of it that has half a bridge over it. Depending on the rules these may all qualify as different terrain types and all are present within a single non-city hex.

It is possible that hex boundaries don't have to be exactly hexagons. The hex boundary could go down the middle of the river. The only requirement would be that they are roughly hexagons.

"He's got no water units" (which implies that there are such things as water units).
Is this a real holy war, or just a bunch of deluded boopholes croaking each other?

Yeah, they probably have ships and all kinds of stuff.
I would be a procrastinator, but I keep putting it off.

I wonder if the rivers are made up of hexes, or if it is only lakes that take up hexes, with rivers might go along the edges of hexes only.

Also, it is possible that crossing rivers requires a bridge and they are permanent features of the terrain.
