This sounded like a great idea, I like reading things, so I went and looked at the book list - are you sure that The Callahan Chronicals is the one that you want to recommend? You say that it's "reasonably priced" but a new copy is $150 and used are $44 minimum. That's a little steep for a collection of short stories.

Are there any other options to read this? (at that price, my library isn't going to have any unstolen copies) Are there any other books that you'd like to recommend?

I'm you can find each one for less than $10 apiece new, and they're well worth the read. The first 5 or 6 are definitely my favorites.
