So when do Summer Updates stop, anyway?

As we are now halfway through September, "Summer" does not seem appropriate. I couldn't find this information anywhere else, so I'm asking here.

I have seen it posted elsewhere (more than once) that book two will likely start up sometime in October. But there is no official date yet for when book two will begin. And I think it is safe to assume that the summer updates will be done by the time book two starts up.

given it was winter throughout the summer updates for me none of it makes much sense. it baffles me why people don't globalise internet times. GMT is the default timezone, list everything by that. it's not summer if it's 3rd quarter. or q3 updates even.

all timezones are refernced against gmt so we ALL know how to work out what time it is in our area from gmt...if you don't go back to primary school and repeat grade 1.

Where I live, September is almost as hot as Ausust so to me it's still a summer

It'll propably last until the writers write and draw enough material to give us a great book with steady updates.

Yeah; IIRC the description of the rainy hex on Jillian's trip to Transylvito indicated that weather is a feature of the hex just like mountains and such.

As for the original question, eh, both formats have their appeal. I figure Rob has a batch of interbook stories in mind, and Jamie has an idea of how much of a buffer he wants to have on tap, and those will be done when they're done (hopefully at more or less the same time).

I expect at least 3 stories, till the summer updates will end:
-the current story about the capture of Warchalking,
-a view to jetstone with the introduction of King Slatley
-Jillian, how she becomes queen and orders her first units

maybe we will get some more insight how Stanley feels, maybe something about Jack.

We do know, however, that the whole summer updates will cover about 90 turns or so. I think Rob mentioned that sometime.
