I just had an interesting thought, while re-reading old strips.

Here, it mentioned that the chief warlord has a higher "duty" stat then a normal warlord, and that duty forces a unit to use it's own initiative to help it's side.


It occurs to me that, now that Parson's not chief warlord anymore, he seems to no longer feel obligated to do as much to help his side as he did in book one; he could certainly be doing more to help Wanda plan battles and such, and he isn't. Possibly because his duty score is lower now?

yeah i would say so.

i'd imagine his upkeep is lower now too. but still expensive.

there isn't much to discuss on the subject though.

It could be an anti-exploit rule :).

It creates a penalty if you make a unit with high leadership your Chief Warlord, but have someone else be the actual main military adviser.
