From the way the Romulan's jumped though, they're clearly cross-bred with some kind of rabbit, so I guess it works for them. It's still a pretty nonsensical ship design.

Defiantly the best movie of the 11 or so that have been produced.

My only real problem was the way Kirk was portrayed (by the actor and I assume by the person writing the script): He seemed my less J.T. Kirk and much more a 70/30 mix of Malcolm Reynolds and Han Solo.

You'll miss out on most of the inside jokes that are placed in scenes and in the dialog. But by itself it is still a good movie.
