Oh Titans no, this is going to end badly or is this part of Charlies plan? If it is part of Charlies plan what is it could he be trying to prevent Wanda from being able to get to GK in time to stop his sneak attack? I get a feeling that Wanda might be seriously thinking about accepting this deal. The following chapters are going to be good because this battle is not going to wrap up in the remaining 7 pages of comic. This battle is going to be a game changer for Erfworld for turns to come.

We still haven't established that Charlie is there.

But if he is there, and uncloaks at all, he'll probably start gunning on the RCC side whether Slately likes it or not. On the one hand, his support of Jillian has probably been pro bono up to now, and there's no shame in blowing off a job he was never hired for... and on the other, if he's seen siding with Wanda in what looks like an ambush, his public image would never be able to recover.

I don't think so, that would jivr too closely with what some of the forum members have predicted. There's gonna a be a twist. And it's gonna hit us like a roller coaster ride suddenly dumping the riders into a water slide.

One twist is that the dwagons probably aren't decrypted. However, I think forum members have predicted nearly every possible scenario so someone was bound to get it right.

Not exactly what I was expecting, but it's still pretty good. Go Parson! Go team Also Evil!


I don't mean to imply that I think Wanda is going to take this offer, however. Charlie's goal is to prevent destabilization of the battlespace, which marginalizes him. His true ambition is to pit the decrypted versus the only thing that can realistically stop them, overwhelming odds. This submission to Jillian is not in Wanda's blood, she will attack full force. The only question will be what will happen to Jillian. I'm pretty certain she will be betrayed by her new benefactors, and this is the best place to do it.

I don't think it's gonna happen, though I can think of few greater temptations for Wanda, but I can't think of a better way to make things challenging for the protagonists than to have her switch sides. I just wonder (a) what Jack would do, since we still don't really know why he's with Stanley in the first place, and (b) what Wanda's plans for Parson would be given her faith in his abilities.

In that last panel Jillian looks downright insane. That strange glint in her eyes the creepy smile. It gives me the willies. The weirdest part is I can tell that it seems like it is supposed to look genuine but to me, at least, I get a different picture.

Oh, boop...I think this could turn into the clusterboop of the decade. If Wanda did turn, then presumably all the Decrypted units do too--which means we have three forces on the field; the Decrypted and Faq, Jetstone, and the Dwagons and whatever other Gobwin Knob troops present are not Decrypted. It would also force Parson back into the role of Chief Warlord of Gobwin Knob because there wouldn't be anyone else around who could do it!

Wanda has been carefully consulting Parson at every turn to get his view and tactics. But you will note she went and got intelligence her own way. It may well be that all her checking with Parson has not been so much because she needed his advice but because she was learning his tactics to better her own command abilities and to know how to fight him if it came to that. Remember that Parson already thinks from back in book 1 somewhere that Wanda knows more about commanding troops than she was saying. This would be perfectly in keeping with a hidden past involving command of some type. So what with one thing and another she may well think she can take him if it comes to that. She's got the pliers and all the forces that entails including 3 top-flight warlords, Stanley doesnt have the casters to form a tri-bond without her, she knows the GK terrain and defences, and she knows Parson is dangerous and wont underestimate him. She has some considerable cause for confidence, if it comes to that.
