Somehow, the only thing I can imagine running through Charlie's mind is "oops." That's a pretty major tool to hand over to GK, one which I know he's going to end up regretting later.

I agree, it's nice to see that Charlie's not omniscient. Not for nothing, this represents the first time that Charlie's let something slip that he didn't mean to. He just lost some kind of fight to Gobwin Knob, has no idea how GK turned his archon, and now he's inadvertently granted their chief warlord some very very valuable info. Probably not Charlie's favorite day, ever...

...based on the klog charts, the bracer does two of three alignments (Fate, Numbers) of Hocus Pocus magic. I wonder if it does the third (Erf) as well...and if that Findamancy is the key to the last Arkentool?

OTOH, Charlie also learned (or at least confirmed, if he already suspected it for some reason) that the bracer had that ability, which could be useful (for one thing, it expands the range of answers he can get out of Parson with his remaining calculations).

Of course it'll be useful for Charlie. But it's Parson's bracer. He has unlimited calculations and is at least as canny a natural tactician and strategist as Charlie is. Especially given that Charlie cannot make a calculation without Parson knowing what he's up to (for obvious reasons), Charlie has handed Parson a very strong advantage for any future conflicts the two of them engage in.

Nice trick Parson, I feel that old Charlie is just beginning to realize just how dangerous his opponent really is. Now if Charlie is so smart why could he not have figured out how it was being done.
