Backlinks in quotes

Any possibility of adding backlinks to the quoted post when the Quote button is hit? It would reduce the need to quote entire posts. It works well on other forums, and takes a lot of the wind out of the sails of folks who whine about being quoted out of context (since the entire context is available at a single click).
