Ok, so we have two players attempting to capture capitals this turn. Only one of them could succeed, as the seoncd is a "No, actually" to the first. So they might both fail, or one of them will work.

Argumetn time is extended by 24 hours, and folks can change their already posted arguments if they wish.

(Sorry for not removing the sacking of Arcadia from the record - my error. Sorry for changing a result after the fact - it just felt wrong to let it stand).

Very well, then - Escotia will retract its argument and present a new one:

The Lord Protector deploys Escotian forces as peacekeepers to stop both Risun and Andwoidian forces:
1) Escotia has an INVINCIBLE NAVY that will intercept the Arkadian fleet ferrying Risun forces to Andwoidia.
2) Escotia has a DISCIPLINED ARMY with ANTI-PERSONNEL MINES that will cripple Andwoidian siege.
3) Escotia has BRILLIANT CASTERS who can provide support to the various missions (e.g. breaking veils, doubling attacks, etc.)

Oh, ok, but may I post my reply in roughly 12h (as in, tomorrow)? I just posted a big-boop thing over in another thread I just made (which I'd urge y'all to check out :D) and am a bit drained of time and energy right now to think of a counter argument.

But I most definitely post one soon.

It's a solid counter, so here's hoping that trying to counter BOTH our arguments with a single argument will weaken it a bit. But even with that, after the "yes, and" it looks like it's still a toss-up.


And by "toss-up" I mean "My money's on Risun". We'll see what happens.

3 armies, actually. Sovereign deploys a normal army and an uncroaked army :)

I think the fact that you both are trying to attack the same region will prevent it from being weakened. (Not same capital, but remember: Arkadia is a city-state within Anwoidia's borders :D )

Yes and the Risun forces are drawn into the grand melee resulting in DEVASTATING LOSSES for all sides.
1) Risun forces consist of a FANATICAL ARMY that can't resist attacking the brazen heather forces of their enemies.
2) All forces in the battle are either DISCIPLINED, EXPERIENCED, COMPETENT or STRONG and unlikely to be defeated without inflicting significant losses on their foes.
3) The Peacekeeping force is using ANTI-PERSONNEL MINES which are indiscriminate weapons hurting any who come in contact with them.

No, actually, Risun's garrison troops easily defeat the Frankish invasion, routing Frank's forces.
1) Due to Risun's work with Frankish forces in attacking Andwoidia, Risun knows Frankish tactics.
2) Because Frank is a MOUNTAIN NATION, their attempts at attacking Risun's VALUABLE PORTS (flat land, coastal) are ill-planned.
3) Risun's TRADE NETWORK enables them to buy defensive STRONG MAGIC ITEMS from House Ordos.

Andwoidia launches a second, much more powerful assault against Arcadia, this time succeeding in taking control of Arcadia.
Reasons:
1) Peacekeeping forces were successful in defending Andwoidia from invasion, allowing it to commit more troops to the attack
2) Andwoidia was successful in avoiding Arcadia and Ordos' foolamancy, and now uses its own EXPERIENCED FOOLAMANCER to avoid the notice of Arcadia or the peacekeepers
3) Andwoidia's POWERFUL SEIGE is aided by the POWERFUL FLIERS of their closest ally, the Weather Toffs

No, actually Andwoidia's forces fail at capturing Arkadia and end up being decimated, leaving Andwoidia's capital open for a devastating counterattack.
Reasons:
0) He misspelled the nation name, so obviously he wants to take another target. (j/k)
1) Peacekeeping forces work in concord with Arkadian defenses to mount an INSURPASSABLE DEFENSE
2) Arkadia's MASTER-CLASS FOOLAMANCER and Ordos FOOLAMANCY EXPERTISE trumps Andwoidia's EXPERIENCED FOOLAMANCER therefore seeing through the veils created by said foolamancer. (masterclass + multiple adept class > experienced)
3) Arkadia utilizes it's STUFFAMANCY BATTERY (firing key lime pie) to destroy any surviving infantry, siege or fliers reaching the city.

If this argument succeeds I invite you to enjoy your imminent destruction at the hands of The Munchking and Allies.

its been a while in coming....
I had to revise it three times... now it SHOULD be a strong argument.... you can never really tell...
