Registration emails & passwords

This is probably just part of the forum package you're using, but could you please change the registration emails to not send back one's password in cleartext? Only temporary, randomly-generated passwords should ever be sent via email. (I have no idea why so many forum packages do this by default.)

You could probably change it by searching for "your password is" (or something similar) in the codebase and commenting out the line that writes it to the email.

Yea this is what I did for mine as Halcyon stated, i just comment out the password line completely I was not to happy to see that either, but since i have a mass rotation of passwords that was not too hard to handle
Huh? What was that sound, oh nevermind it was nothing.

Hear, hear. Sending a password in cleartext is a pretty big security breach.

Hey, does anyone know which file in phpbb 3 needs to be altered for this. They've blown their system into a million parts and I can't seem to find info online about it anywhere.
