I was under the impression that the glowing sparkles from that skull thing mean the sword is alive and well, or at least the magic is alive and well. Artifacts are harder to destroy than it seems. And yeah, I would definitly say that sword is artifact-level, what if Ansom was wielding it now how much more screwed would the coalition be know? Well, the original rug, at least, seemed to have some Foolamancy ability (The DDR display). That and the flying ability seems outside the realm of mere Fabrication

The DDR display was something the Archons did (note that Ansom flew up to talk to them just before the it went up). That said, the flying is presumably a magic effect that does not fall within the scope of Fabrication.

And later on one can see an archon floating over each column of arrows.
