Glam Rock, yes or no?

Glam Rock, yes or no?

Have you ever heard real Glam Rock? What did you think? If you think you don't like it, you must think Poison is glam. Sound off. If you need some background to make a judgment, go for some Ziggy Stardust era David Bowie, maybe check out Roxy Music, Mott the Hoople, Be Bop Deluxe (Axe Victim is my favorite track of theirs), Shudder to Think, or maybe even early Brian Eno, before he went and invented ambient techno...
I'm workin' on my thinkin' and I'm thinkin' it's improving.

That's cause Bowie is the man. He makes some amazing music and he is the freakin Goblin King! No way to compete. None.

What do you guys think about the fact that he's a dirty, dirty shapeshifter? I love some of his stuff, but he did hop on some unsavory bandwagons.

Not only that, but he's the Leader of the Guild of Calamitous Intent! He's the modern day Renaissance man. Well not quite so modern. But definitely along the same lines as Buckaroo Bonzai.

I love Bowie. I'm not sure I'd call them Glam rock as much as glam punk, but the New York Dolls are also pretty sweet. I can't say I liked Lou Reed's glam phase very much though

I'm not really into it. It's cute though, and I mean that in a non-patronizing appreciative way.
