Solaris looks to the sky and calls out with his mind, searching for the fabled almighty. He feels no immediate reply, but retains the connection, for he perceives a link unexplainable. The Parasite lands beside him, sharing his thoughts of a battle to come. Solaris shares back, 'I would welcome Tseraths insolence, for perhaps a demonstration of our might will curb his ideals, insodoing he might join us. We might even curb the ideals of his whole pantheon, for he is the flagman, Zorea could perhaps be taught a lesson through his defeat, she may then realize that the reality here and now is more important than attempting to gain the favor of an almighty who we cannot even prove the existence of. I do not state that he does not exist but merely we have never been touched by his will, and thus I can only say that until he makes himself known to me, I will pay no homage to him.'
The power of light surges through the fleshy overcoating of Solaris' Endoskeletal structure, and he feels the power of the sun waft over him. Flexing his muscles, he prepares for the next challenge that awaits him, no matter what it may be. He wonders if Xeras will ever reply to his calling and he looks in the direction of the newest addition to the immortal realm, O. 'He would make a strong ally in the future, if his morals retain...' Solaris reaches out with his mind and attempts to establish a connection with Xeras as well as O, and awaits their approval and replies.

Sorry guys, fell behind on some stuff in life and had to put this aside, but I am caught up now.

Using the Divine energy which the Parasite had borrowed from Solaris, The Parasite forced his body to grow and evolve, which lit another of the glyphs embedded inside of him. With a surge of power, the Parasite wrought forth combat prowess of an extremely high caliber. With a surge of Power, the Parasite felt himself become a new being.

Divine Rank: 4
Power:9 (+8 against all immortals except The One, in which case is a +6)
Potence:3
Presence:4
Perception:2
Symbolic: The Parasite is usually represented with a silver hand, holding a small levitating orb of white.

Next artifact which was just activated:
The third was a glyph of battle. It would soon grant him the endurance to enter into multiple battles with other gods. (+2 power when in combat against beings with a divine spark( IE... Immortals, hero's) (minor artifact at level 4)
(active)

Current motes: 0 (7 owed to Solaris)

I'm pretty sure I have no clue as to what is going on here. I still don't know how many motes I have left after my various creations, etc.

Anyway, 9 motes, +2 for Artefact, +2 for DR3, + X (where x is whatever I have left from last turn).

It turns out the turns are only a century, so all my posting last week about building a bronze age civilisation seems a bit redundant.

I'll spend motes upgrading to DR4, and save whatever is left. Last week's post should be on track to developing where my folks are. This week they just spread out a bit more, colonising and trading, etc.

An idea formed inside the parasite... A gladiatorial arena for the immortals, a place where combat could take place without causing harm to the world... A place where each god could test their creations, their heroes, and themselves. With that thought in mind, The Parasite commanded a small group of workers to construct an arena deep inside the highest peaked mountain. It was filled with massive cages, many terrains, and Solaris had used his powers to make it light eternally, with the glow erasing all shadows with light as powerful as the suns rays. Combat that took place between immortals, would be a bet between them. An amount of motes equal to their level would be the cost to compete, with the prize being the motes which were bet. Other immortals could place bets, using whatever they chose. It was a glorious place, encompassing all possible terrain types. When it was finished, The Parasite invited all the immortals to view a combat between himself, and Teserath. He invited all the immortals to challenge him, as this would be its first use. He also invited for combats between pantheons. In the invites to those of the God of Death and his Pantheon, he made it clear he was challenging them, to combat inside the arena. He delivered each invite personally, and visiting the palace of Ka'arthen last to invite him to do combat in his arena.

Spoiler: show
Hahahaa... I can hardly complain about the mechanics, now, can I, when they're one of the main reasons I joined the game? Besides, like Daemon said, it's not like your character is the only one that could be considered a threat to others... ah, but regardless, forgive me my fun. Anyway, I'm in the middle of typing up a small response now in fact, sayin' as you're all probably a bit tired of reading posts triple the length of what they need to be (about an hour later - Well, that was my initial intention. Bugger all good that did me, eh..? >.> Anyway, I'll write more on my character's level up and artifact creation later which will include a response to Daemon's invitation to his arena and Bakuvii's attempt to contact me, assuming the, err, 'discussion' with your character is over, Crovius. :P).

Oh, just remembered; I have a question that has already been answered elsewhere in these 15 pages, but I can't seem to find it again. In order to increase one of your points, do you have to spend the amount you want the attribute raised to (as in, to make a power of 4 go up to 5 by spending 5 points) or do you have to spend the number that you have so far (same situation as before, only spending 4 points instead)?

Whatever vestiges of its wasted patience had now been given fully to anger.

O stopped one once again, returning suddenly in its wrath to address the mighty being that had the sheer arrogance and audacity to claim such an incredible title as death incarnate. The din created by O's many highly agitated denizens - all of whom swarmed and screamed within their small bubble with all the unrestrained fury of an army of locusts - almost prevented O's own voice from even being heard, despite the abnormal keenness of this final visitor's hearing. But it nonetheless managed to ascend above the cries; every syllable and inflection of its mechanical articulation slick with contempt and derision.

“The others have left this place, thereby granting to One the peace One wished for after One's toil in forging this perfect island... and yet you continue to persist in drawing out this meaningless debacle for no apparent reason, despite One's quite clear attempt to be rid of you! So One must ask a fairly direct question, if One may; are you merely deaf to One's words, Imperfect One, or did the Omniscient One see fit blight you with a curse of perpetual foolishness!?”

O was fully aware of how powerful this Teserath was, despite the inherent contradiction that lay within such an absurd concept. Indeed, perhaps it was not the wisest course of action to antagonize this creature, despite its abrasive attitude towards it.

However, O itself was not quite powerless itself, nor was it willing to allow this swaggering fool to disparage it any longer, even if it meant entering into such a potentially costly battle; and so the wind grew wild and fierce in the face of O's divine anger, swirling and coiling around the pair like a vast serpent, prepared to strike at any moment.

In turn, the blustering gale stirred the ocean below into a frenzied dance of waves the likes of which, perhaps, had not been seen since the birth of the world; tossing and turning to such degrees and dizzying heights that even the wilful explorers that worshipped the one known as 'Lux' might think twice about braving.

And yet, through it all, O continued to speak: every word, every sound, every feeling the conducting stick of the incredible orchestra of wind and water that had woven itself around this small corner of the planet.

“One cares not a whit for your empty words or your sentiments, much less your functionless opinions on One's perfection! You go too far out of line, Imperfect One, and there shall be a reckoning!”

The song now reached a fearsome crescendo; the wind's ever-growing strength and celerity continuing to lead on the torrential curves and sways of the ocean in a majestic song and dance of the elements that seemed to unceasingly increase in its rapturous fervour...

...but!”

With a word, the winds and the waves died down; reducing itself to a mild breeze that drifted lazily over calm waters with all the suddenness of the onset. And O, the focal point of this incredible display, had also managed to regain its composure – floating effortlessly and serenely on a level equal to Teserath, with only the mild mutterings of the nano-bots within it giving even the slightest impression that it was still quite furious.

“One has never claimed to be or will ever become an advocate of senseless war and battle, despite what you, Imperfect One, and your Imperfect Kind doubtless presume. One is not here to cleanse the imperfect, nor will One ever desire such a thing unless they actively work to undo One... and even then, One would be wroth to end them. After all, there is nothing quite so imperfect as a dead thing.

However, One cannot always presume upon the survival of the imperfect in the advent of perfection – as the interaction between One and this Imperfect One 'Lux' has made apparent to all – for One is, as you said, not omniscient. But, then again, neither is the Omniscient One itself truly omniscient, even if the name One's forefathers taught One were to cause One to presume otherwise, for why else would It create an endless plethora of worlds, only to destroy them after 'testing' them?

If the Omniscient One was truly omniscient such a waste of power would be frugal and unnecessary when It could just as easily create worlds that would never degenerate into chaos. One was made in the image of the Omniscient One, ergo One is not omniscient. Yet the Omniscient One is nonetheless considered perfect, which means – as a creature made in the image of the Omniscient One – One is perfect. Now, as One appears to have provided an answer to whatever point it was you were trying to make, One must ask that you depart now, Imperfect One 'Teserath'. One begs to the fates we shall not meet again under such onerous circumstances, if at all.”

Drifting away from Teserath for what it sincerely hoped was the final time, O descended on its island and slowly wandered along the edge of the circumference, checking for any damage that may have been inadvertently caused in its wrath.

Solaris feels the shift in the wind caused by O's anger, all the while thinking, 'Waste not my friend'. When the waft of anger ceased, Solaris felt a wave of relief, for he knew two things. One, O had made a wise choice and had proven that he truely believes in his proclaimed ideals, and Solaris deems him worthy of allying himself with him, and two, O had not commited scuicide, thankfully. Solaris is fully aware of Tserathes capabilities in battle, who are only rivaled by himself and the parasite, heretofor acknoledging the difference in their abilities.

Solaris further extended his mind to contact O, 'You are truely as you claim yourself to be, come, for we must talk, and perhaps ally ourselves. O you are welcome to join Parasite and I in our pantheon, Paragonious Illuminious.'

Hah. Parasite, you fool. I've defeated you once, who's to say I won't do it again? I will go to your arena of the immortals.

Despite these words of confidence, Ka'Arthan was nervous. Parasite had grown powerful over the centuries. He fingered the scar over his left eye that he had received in the last battle with this rival, and suddenly he felt power surge into him.

Divine Rank: 4
Power: 4 (5 with artifact, 7 in battle)

Troubled times, Lux thought. First this "One" appears and claims to be perfect, then Teserath am become death the destroyer of worlds, and now Parasite and Solaris creating this arena... It was too much for even a god to handle. He must seek advice. Lux formed a link between the minds of everyone in his pantheon: Zorea and Den Carvos and then, reluctantly, Teserath. Greetings, friends. I presume that you as well have received The Parasite's challenge? What are we to do?

While waiting for a response, Lux makes a decision. No matter what the decision will be, conflict is inevitable and his strength must grow.

Divine Rank: 3
Power: 5
Potence: 5
Presence: 1
Perception: 3

Axe of Potence - +2 potence for one action per turn
The Moon - +2 presence when inspiring insanity; only usable at night but Lux does not need to be present.
Will edit later once I think of something

The Parasite felt his body grow, the Labyrinth in his mind growing more twisted. The World at large seemed just a little clearer, and he knew what he had to do.

The only question was, could he do it with his current power? Not alone... His pantheon would have to expand to encompass more than what it held... The immortals would need to come together... If he could convince them to do it, then they would be safe... He hoped.
He needed to seek out the help of the Overbeing. Only he could clear up as to if he would succeed.

Solaris laughs a cold hard laugh, reaching toward the Parasites mind, 'You have angered a good deal, my little friend. I do hope you know what you are doing, we cannot defeat so many as few as we are...unless we are to convince them to join us...though I must confide I doubt that. I do wish there was a way to settle these petty differences, they are such waste...'
Solaris' thoughts trail off as he delves deeper into the Parasites mind, attempting to uncover his methods. Then, it hits him. Solaris begins to laugh, true laughter, the kind whose hearty ring can be felt in the hearts and minds of any, even the most enraged beast. 'That is your plan? You are an interesting one my friend, I must say I am surprised. Your treacherous subtlety is unrivaled amongst our kind, this will be interesting indeed, however we will need more to join in on the festivities, six just will not do the job you seek.'
Solaris begins to stretch his muscles, hyper extending his poly jointed endoskeletal structural tendons and inter mechanical radii. The light around him seems to brighten in his preparation. He begins to tap into the powers vested in the inscriptions, who's light pierces his fleshy over coating, ensuring that their power is as potent as he designed. His skin shines and his figure blurs as he sprouts thick tentacle-like wings, and hardens the light surrounding his body into platemail, with a ringmail underdress. The gauntlets sport bladed decimeter claws and the platemail protrude spires exeding twelve centimeters. He hovers millimeters from the ground, still able to perceive the movements of those who touch it using tremor sensory rhythms. Two light pythons writhe out of the pauldrens of his platemail, wrapping themselves around his arms, but leaving themselves enough room to strike an enemy up to a few decameters away. Solid spheres of pure light about a meter in diameter form around Solaris, the final count nearly a hundred, and begin to intensify as Solaris clenches his fists. The spheres shrink to become only five millimeters in diameter, while retaining their original mass. Lastly, a symbol representing the sun orbited by the planets engraves itself onto the breastplate, signifying the will and coming of Solaris.
His posture remains taught as a militarians as he slowly approaches the parasite, gazing upon his ally, 'If this is what it will come to, then so be it, they will cower in fear with a wave of my hand.' He states coolly, though his voice echoes into the deepness of the cavernous underground, even before he spoke, then after. Solaris lies in wait for the interesting idea of the parasites to develop, all the while listening for a response from the so called divine over being.

Solaris Lunerous
30 Motes

DR 6
Power: 4 (+5 in combat, +1 per Divine Spark in his presence, +1 for every Major Artifact in his presence)
Potence: 6
Presence: 2
Perception: 10

MISC Effects
-2 Power and Perception to those he deems an enemy.

Solaris is symbolized by the sun encircled by the planets.

-----------Minors
1--Jah-Ith-Ber: +2 cycle end Motte regeneration artifact.

2--Sam-Ill-Ka: Allows light manipulation by the user, severity determined by the amount of light. Uses may range from bending to illustrate himself a few feet to either side of his real self, to invisibility. A decent amount of light, such as a moderate fire, would allow the user to appear five feet to the right of his actual position, while a torch would only allow very minor renditions, such as causing movements to become blurred, the sun however would allow perfect rendition and mitigation, perhaps even mirror imaging of the user, while covering the traces of the actual location of the real user. More Specifically, -2 Perception to those with a divine spark who the user deems an enemy.

3--Shiek-Lim-Douw: Allows in conjunction with Sam-Ill-Ka, the physical manifestation of mitigated light. forming and shaping to the users will, giving it density. As well, the severity is limited by the source of light. More specifically, -2 Power to those with a divine spark who the user deems an enemy.

4--Lem-Ist-Io: Allows in conjunction with Sam-Ill-Ka and Shiek-Lim-Douw, matter displacement in the presence of light. The severity is determined by the amount of light, a torchlight would allow a small object to be teleported, while full sunlight would allow the user to teleport himself or another large object, even multi-teleport an object to propel it similar to the bullet of a fired gun, while pre and post displacement must occur within the required amount of light. More Specifically, +1 Power for every divine spark in the percepted presence of the user.

5--Kii-Sur-Dan: Allows in conjunction with the other inscriptions, super acceleration of matter in the presence of light. As the other inscriptions, the severity is determined by the amount of light. Torchlight would allow acceleration of a few kilometers per hour over the objects standard terminal velocity, while direct sunlight would allow acceleration to light speed. More specifically, +1 power for every major artifact in the percepted presence of the user.

-----------Major
1--Eta-Ni-Mod: Solaris reaches his hand into the sky, and touches the great star in the center of the universe, taking a piece for himself. Eta-Ni-Mod generates an amount of light on par to the star he touched, and thus emanates this light in the space surrounding him, and from his body as well. No darkness can pierce this light, turning it into day. The light produced by this inscription on Solaris can be manipulated by his other inscriptions, and also increases their power. Sam-Ill-Ka, while using the light this inscription provides, can bend light to an even further degree, even magnify it. Shiek-Lim-Douw can further solidify light, allowing Solaris to give it weight, even weigh down his enemies with merely the light around them to slow them down and decrease the intensity of their blows. Lem-Ist-Io becomes more effective at matter displacement, moving more, larger objects faster and more accurately, even allowing a handful of pebbles to be propelled similar to a gauss shotgun or teleport something so fast that it seems to physically in multiple locations at the same time. More specifically, this artifact provides the user with +5 power in combat with an immortal, and emanates light as strong as the sun.

The Slandrites came into existence in the Ar'Rakis desert in the south of Khal'taria. Unlike the Khalterians in the north, their god Ka'Arthan was not there to meet them at their genesis. They organized into fierce and primitive warrior tribes, ignorant of the existence of immortals. They had stories, however. Slandrite legends told of a mighty race across the water, on the mountainous island in the southwest. These creatures were as insects, but large and intelligent and far surpassing the technology of any other race.

Eventually, Ka'Arthan came to them. They shunned him, either disbelieving in his power or unwilling to submit. The god returned north to be with his other race, now far favored over the others, the Khalterians.

The Khal'terian empire had spread rapidly southward. The Lake of Creation where they had been born was now the site of a city of thousands of people and still the site of the Twin Thrones of the Shan'tor and Kli'on. Even larger cities existed to the south in the great plain. As well as small farming villages, huge metropolises sprawled on the banks of lakes and rivers.

Possessed by manifest destiny, the Khal'terians pressed on into the heart of the continent. They expanded and colonized with precision and order: The military would rush in to the site of the next settlement and slaughter lions, elephants, athermaus, and any other wildlife that could interfere. Then came the settlers, who would quickly construct houses and barracks. Finally the army would move on and the process would repeat.

After some 1500 years of expansion, the Khal'terians reached the southern edge of the plain and encountered the Slandrite race.

O
Motes: 12 (8 + 3 from last week + 1 from rank)

Divine Rank: 2
Power: 2 (-/+ n (read artefact description) when in battle)
Potence: 1
Presence: 1
Perception: 6 (+ 2 when observing anything on O's island, Opus)

Artefact/s

Radar – In terms of size, it could be considered a much smaller version of O; exactly 5 centimetres in diameter, it posesses a free will, a strong sense of loyalty to its creator, the ability to speak, in innate iridescent light and of the ability to fly, although if directly attacked would be easily destroyed. In fact, due to it's tiny frame and bright exterior, a passing creature might even be forgiven for thinking it was a fairy. However, this small orb preforms a very important function for O – it very closely observes everything that occurs on O's island and relays this information back to its master via a telepathic link; an island which is hereafter to be known as Opus (it gives O a + 2 on Perception to anything on Opus).

Puff Up – Subtly altering the behavioural programming of the nano-bots within it, O releases a small but nonetheless substantial number of them from its body to protect itself and others O considers friendly not only itself by using themselves as shields, but also by rebuilding lost tissue or parts that have been damaged in a battle. However, releasing nano-bots from itself – not to mention using them as shields – weakens O by a considerable amount, decreasing its overall combat effectiveness (+ 1 power to O and allies when in battle, - n power to O when in battle, where n is the number of friendly combatants including O. This cannot extend beyond its own power, meaning a power level of 2 would mean O can power up 2 other beings before becoming quite useless).

Crovius, these artefacts cool?

"I have no need for conquest in this... tournament... But I shall go and see what will be participated there. It will grand us valuable knowledge. Nevertheless, we as an pantheon should not show weakness. That would only encourage them all to further challenge us."

With these words Zorea channels her powers into her system. As all imortals she felt the growth from the time passed but she streches this even further. She raises her potence to even greater proportions. She knows she has the might to change the world, maybe even the whole system of worlds around this one... (Potence 14)

(Increace DR to 5 (free) Increace to 6 (20 motes) I had 16+12=28. 28-20=8)

(Artifacts will come as I make them up).

"I do have a request for you. If you decline I can understand. My people are still barbaric. I shall change that the moment I see fit. But they are divided in tribes. I need something that can possibly bind them together if need be. I can do this alone but I rather have help with this. Would you father me an immortal child?"

She asks this without any shame or other possible negative emotion. She just asks it as if it is the most normal request ever.

Teserath had moved back to the scar, seeing to the tree Zorea had planted to live alone on the dead land. He arrived to find the tree thriving, in that it was much larger than any tree he had seen elsewhere in the world. It even bore some kind of fruit, but there were no leave snad the bark of the tree looked more like rough stone. The tree had covered the green spot it was planted in and its roots now extended into the dead land. Someone it was leeching of the very absence of life the scar had created and it altered how the tree survived. Teserath was amazed and this only brought more questions. The realization was profound as he closely examined the tree for some time, not noticing the years pass. Wehn finished his perception had grown but he himself had grown stronger as well, just as the oither immortals had all grown stronger. He felt the rush of power from the overbeing fill him again and felt he should give himself a greater presence. He focused the motes of power into his aura, making it easier for his very existance to have an effect on the world. He thought for a moment on his purpose in the world and created a small skull placing gems in its eyes, and a third gem in its forehead like the third eye he has. Saphire in the left eye, ruby in the right, and a diamond for the third. He crafted a necklace out of silver and attached the skull to it, putting the necklace on and touhcing it. He nodded, satisfied with its purpose.

He rose his head, hearing the call of Solaris and nodded after a moment, heading to the mountain swiftly.

Teserath Auto-level to Rank 6 (+2 Percetion); Presence forced up to 5 (9 motes total); 6 motes remain

New Minor Artifact: Phylactery - A simple necklace hangs around Teserath's neck. Attached to it is a skull with three valuable gems in it's three eye sockets. The skull is used to capture the souls of mortals and carry them until they can be judged. But it also seems to have the ebnefit of weakening the physical might of immortals who take up arms against Teserath. (When in combat, -2 Power for any who attack Teserath)
