I dug bone quite a bit. Does it really matter which is more epic though. they each have their own merits. Originally they arn't even in the same format (star wars now has products in every format thinkable but in essence are movies). Thats makes a comparion of the epicness sort of silly.

I need to get a hold of some of the Bone collections. I saw a YouTube video of Jeff Smith of inking a panel with a brush which promptly motivated me to start inking with a brush. The next two Erf pages, all done with a brush. But yeah, I've been meaning to pick up Bone. I just haven't gotten around to it.

Are we talking about an older comic that might have been printed in that old Disney mini magazine? If so, then I need to check it out. I only read a couple chapters of it.

Some chapters of Bone were printed in Disney magazine. It was primarily run as its own stand-alone comic. A number of full-color trade editions have been released (I believe covering the whole series, but I don't know for sure). There is also a single volume Complete Series edition that weighs a good six or seven pounds. The complete series volume is, unfortunately in black and white, but that doesn't change the fact that the art is beautiful and the story is engaging, funny, and tragic.

The stuffed Bread thingies are actually quite good, thanks for the tip. Though my heresy meter has gone done, I must stand by my accusations of blasphemy.
It ended with the ninth book, right?

Yup, nine books. There was also a short "Rose" miniseries (3 comics long if I remember), which is a little bit of a prequel.

Bone was an excellent comic, with a full mythology and enough mystery to leave people thinking about it long after.


And a cigarette-smoking dragon? C'maaaaahhn.
