Nice update, Ansom seems to not have much confidence in his own abilities post-decryption. This is the second time he's relied on backstabbing to defeat a foe.

Charlie is booped. Tramennis maybe fine with his strong-arming, but Haggar is going to be pissed, and the rest of Jetstone is going to think that Charlie intended for Sammy to die - which he might have.

This is also going to sour Jetstone-Haggar relations something fierce. I mean, beyond the fact that Haggar's been planning to betray Jetstone all along and Jetstone knows it.

I don't think he sees it as backstabbing. It's simply smarter to utilize all your assets rather than risk something as foolish as single combat with an enemy commander. I'm assuming they're closely matched if it came to it. Ansom didn't want to drag out this fight he wanted this over and done with.

By the way, FANTASTIC art! Love the detail, down to the spears protruding from Sammy to the spearheads breaking off, to the dismayed looks on the Haggar troops, to... well, all of it!

EDIT: Ooh, just noticed Ansom jumped down off of the Spidew to cleave Sammy's neck. Not only obtaining the extra momentum, but sheltering himself within the ranks of the pikemen against a possible aerial attack by Jillian. And probably quite safe now, since without Sammy's leadership bonus and rocking out abilities, his troops will probably rout or be crushed in short order.

Well, it appears that Ansom has taken a lesson from Parson after all, and not rely to much on mano-a-mano duels. Honourable those duels are, but hazardous to your health.

Wow - harsh. Even though I hated Sammy after the Archon torture scene, I couldn't help but feel for him here. Well done! Let's just hope Jillian can capitalize & follow up while the Haggar troops are somewhat distracted.

EDIT: I wonder if King Dickie can change his production orders from popping a "non-heir Royal Warlord" to a Royal Heir...would the extra production time needed just get added on, or does he have to start over?

Have you noticed the spedew's eyes in panel 7? BTW, r´what are the dirty spots on the ground, i.e. panel 4? Bloody dirt or dust from the recroaked decrypted?

Nice on the eyes, I guess that kick hurt! I imagine the spots are blood.

Also, I seem to recall Ansom is heavily wounded. And nice shot of the approaching megalos in an early frame.
