Awesome! Well played, Maggie...well played. Why am I getting that jittery feeling that Book 2 is going to wrap soon, and Book 3 is Parson putting things back together?

ROFLMAO....

Why did I see that coming a mile away. I mean seriously how long has Maggie been planning that move?

LOLWUT! Maggie is badass. I didn't know she had it in her. A small coup for Parson!

Also: It may be just me seeing things, but Maggie storing the dust under the table leg reminds of me this. It's also the same table corner relevant to Stanley. :D

Struth!

That LFN took Ford's leg and crushed it before crushing him.

Whoa
As in hold up a moment.

Parson said it would be better to appoint someone in Wanda's group as CWL for the bonus in defence. Maggie is not just presuming to know better than Stanley, but better than Parson too. That's pretty high handed.
Parson now has to direct a group - which he would have ended up doing anyway - which is now weaker than it could have been.

Ansom wasn't dusted but captured. At what point did the post of CWL become vacant?

Is this the thinkamancers' dirty secret? This actually happens quite frequently in all kingdoms with a thinkamancer, but no-one realizes because they make them forget (like the Men in Black mind wipe). That would mean the thinkamancers are really running the show.

All the build up for Ford and he's done in to panels...oh well. So much for plot parsimony theories.

This.

Also, Maggie is awesome.

I did it thirty-five minutes ago.

Parson's motivation in stating someone else should be CW is that he just doesn't want to do it himself. The 'they need the bonus' is just a rationalization, a further explanation for what will be required when no good orders are being given.

Anyone familiar with a strategy game knows that tiny details about the way the fight occurs commonly make a greater difference than an overall change in power levels. In fact, it typically has no effect at all when the fights were already going to go a particular direction.

Also, why is the elephant called Irony? Is this something political?

Don't everyone go buying ticker tape just yet. Sure, Parson's Chief Warlord again. But that means everyone down on the board is getting fractions of his measly +2 instead of whatever Wanda's Kids can provide... and it's not like he couldn't have used his brain without being handed the title. Sure, Maggie and Sizemore have made good on their plan - push Parson to lead once everything goes pear-shaped. But what good that'll do (other than that we'll be seeing more of him, which I guess is a plus) remains to be seen.
Edit:

I think "Irony" is being used as yet another anti-Decrypted epithet here (specifically directed at Ford).

Man, this strip is a classic, and is evidence of Rob demonstrating greater efficiency in plot advancement while working within the constrains he created.

Namely, the issue of how Parson gets to be CW again is solved by Maggie who got his Toolship to commit to reappointing Parson by spelling, who solved the issue of loyalty by getting permission to enchant Stanley beforehand.

As Maggie is a Thinkamancer, she can probably make her own dust.

However, as Parson is undoubtedly going to be quick to point out, he's the worst canidate for the job. His bonus is terrible, and Wanda's force needs all the help it can get.

That stack has:
GK's 2 most powerful 'mancers
50+ Dwagons
20+ Archons
The side's 3 highest level remaining Warlords, plus an unspecified number of other Warlords of lesser level
Numerous living Knight class infantry (probably Hobgobwins) ontop of Dwagons as riders
The Arkenpliers
The flying carpet

Parson can't save them using tactics from GK. I suspect he will convince Jetstone to the let the column go. How? I don't know, but an enormous indemity (say 50 million) might be a good starting point, followed by having Wanda drop the pliers. Jetstone might bite on that offer.

The irony is that Ford, who in real life was a Republican, is being crushed by a vengeful elephant, which has long been used to represent the Republican Party.

I'm not lucid enough to start to ponder whether or not the LFN's color scheme is intended to be significant, though.

Sometimes, the most simple solution is the best one.
"Per say" is a misspelling of "per se". Please use the correct spelling, otherwise it makes your feeble attempts at sounding intelligent ironical at best.

Because you are right! I've thought for some time that these shorter books will alternate between Parson-centric and other characters getting the lime-light.
Perhaps Irony is the guy on the ground. "Irony died when Kissinger got the Nobel Peace Prize", around Gerald Ford's time - well known saying.

Actually, now that I think about it, the death of a CWL probably isn't necessary - after all, Parson got demoted and Ansom replaced him.
I don't care what kind of laughter it is; if it comes from the DM, it's bad news.

Minor point: it'd really be Book 2, Issue 1 wrapping soon, and then Book 2, Issue 2 with Parson back in the limelight. We'll be done Meeting the Jetstones soon, but Love will probably continue to be a Battlefield for some time. ;)

That was an awesome update.

As for the people saying it's the end of Book 2... you realize we're on page 32, right? I'm expecting at least another hundred pages.
