A battle of two cities - Turn 11

Edit 4: So the Elephants are out in the courtyard spraying the SOADOEs (Sons of Adam, Daughters of Eve) and the beavers with water from the spring that flows through the middle of Caer Paravel when the beavers block the spring. I guess they did not like being sprayed with water. Anyway, Avewnus keeps sending me these thinkagrams. They seem to be very nice people, but they also seem to be upset about stuff all the time. I'm guessing they're just a bit jittery about the coming battle.

At this point I'm going to say you won't be able to change your units once Bland has posted his. I don't want you gaining an extra advantage by having a lot more time to design your forces, having seen the other sides.

As you can see we shall rely on the military muscle of our allies for this engagement, whilst supplying them with what we consider to be useful support troops. We see that Avewnus can provide scouts*, so we have not dispatched the nigh-ubiquitous Gyro-Scope to this campaign. (Or have we ) We will gladly give Avewnus a share of our own pop points during the campaign, for scouting purposes.

Scout cost formula is: 4*(Hits+(Defence/2))

So an imp has 1 Hits and 0 defence, making the scout special cost 4*(1+(0/2)) = 4
Total cost is (1*5/2) + 1 + 4 = 2.5 + 1 +4 = 8.

I'll double check unit costs today. Can people PM there starting force compositions, remembering they have 500 pop points?

Aah. I incorrectly thought Scout was 6. Then it makes sense.

However, we all know each side must start with a Commander unit, so there's no shame in divulging the name of the Commander that will lead the SG expedition: Klaus Witz.

There is not. And, sadly, Gejagny cannot come to this battle (and can't fly or use a bow), so Daimyo Machi will be happy to meet or croak all of your commanders, and have a cup of tea either way. Which should also appeal to the Escotian warlord, so two of us can agree on something.

Double check you units costs some are cheaper than you thought (as I've only rounded once at the end), some are more expensive. If there are errors in your fourth units costs I'll PM you. Once checked adjust your initial deployments as required and PM me and we can start Turn 1.

Random.org rolled Even, so Team B starts. Once you've PM'ed me your finalised starting units,* you can PM you're scout orders. Turn 1 Scout phase begins now (it ends once I have all starting forces and Team B's scouting orders).

*I'm currently waiting on updated starting units from Twoy, zilfallon, watermonkey and HerbieRai

Seeing as I've gone to the trouble of creating the unit reference now, I'm afraid I'm going to choose for you. You have Minatour, Porcupine and Beaver.

An addendum as a precaution against all you Machiavellian people out there: Don't trust anything that looks like it has been misdirected. If you think you've stumbled upon a goldmine, there's a good chance that it's a minefield! To put this another way: our sides are at war. A "misdirected" PM is either a mistake or a calculated misdirection, so just tell them, delete it, and move on.
