What's the Frequency, Wanda?

Postby complete » Tue May 05, 2009 3:44 am

I'm new to Erfworld and read the entire thing in one sitting. What's the frequency of new pages? Do I have to wait a week between pages or is it more regular than that?

Having said that, I love Erfworld. I'm not the type to sit around and debate the goings-on of the in-comic universe or speculate on potential plot twists, but the story is original and entertaining, and I will definitely recommend it to everyone who will sit still for 25 seconds.

There doesn't seem to be a specific schedule.

The first comic was posted in December 2006, so they have been around for around 2 and a half years and 158 comics. This gives an average of around 1.21 comics a week.

They do seem to have been picking up the pace in the last few weeks, though.

My advice is to simply use the rss feed to notify you when it updates.

Or check daily like I do...

Well,more than daily... <.<

Do not judge me, for I will become more eccentric than you can ever imagine.

It's not on a specific schedule; updates come more or less frequently as Rob and Jamie are able to provide them. They've been coming 2-3 times a week lately.

With the new site I'd imagine updates will probably a bit more regular. However, I'd think that we'd have to wait on Jamie and Rob to weigh in on that. ;)

I get this feeling that, if they can monetize on Erfworld enough to quit their day jobs, we'll see more frequent updates.

That being said, I'm signing up for the Tool program. Everyone always told me I was a Tool anyways, so I might as well confirm it. =) lol

Right now, the biggest hurdle to getting updates regularly is me. The past month, I've been able to get pages sent in fairly regularly. That ended last week because I got knocked on my ass thanks to the pollen. My allergic reaction turned into a cold and I was out for most of the week. Hoping to get back on the horse this week. The scripts have actually all been handed in so it's all on me now.

Oh yeah, and having a day job tends to get in the way of working on the comic. Wish it weren't so, but them's the breaks.

Careful Jamie, we're friendly now, but fans can suddenly turn ravenous. We've been known to eat artists aliiiiiiiive.

Chianti, blech, that's just to have with musicians. Artists go better with a nice Burgundy, or perhaps a Riesling for the shallower ones.

Could you suggest a non-alcoholic alternative fitting for a fat playwright I trapped the other day?

Orange Jarritos goes well with Playwrights, unless they write short-form (1-act, 10 minute), in which case Pineapple is generally preferable.

Oh, and hash browns on the side.
