1) The WeatherToffs know the location of Escotia forces from their last action.
2) Escotia has a VAST EMPIRE meaning there is a too much territory for them to defend all of it against intrusion.
3) Escotia has an INVINCIBLE NAVY and DISCIPLINED ARMY but a lack of a flying force.

Yes, and as a benefit of their alliance they are assisted by Andwoidia's EXPERIENCED FOOLAMANCER
A clarification - do COUNTER ARGUMENTS have their own rolls for success?

Yes, BUT due to the VAST EMPIRE of Escotia, the WeatherToffs only succeed in sneaking a LARGE SCOUTING FORCE into a far-flung colony of Escotia far from the home isles.
Reasons:
Escotia has a VAST EMPIRE; its colonies are across Erf.
Escotia is an ISLAND NATION; its home isles are separated from its colonies.
The Weather Toffs have FAST SCOUTS well-suited for a pointless incursion into Escotia.
