If you were an unit

Postby Welf von Ehrwald » Thu Jun 25, 2009 5:25 am

If you were an unit, what kind of unit you would be? Imagine you were summoned to Erfworld and the universe has to set your stats.

I choose you, moneymancer. Years of business studies should have had that effect.
I love uncroaked Dora. I love an anonymous friend even more.

Warlord with heavy bonuses to seige and special units (Calvary mostly.) No bonuses or penalties to average troops (Axemen, pikers, etc.)

sad as this is to say, I'm an IT guy so i kinda think I'd be an Archon, or involved with Charlescomm.
Or I could be a Technomancer, since I'm a technician, but because of the name we'd manifest as some sort of raver elves I guess.

I'd probably be the Chief Warlord for Jetstone, so I could play Sima Yi to Parson's Zhuge Liang. I'd probably get roflstomped, too.

Non-existent. No one in Erfworld is anything like me, so far.

A biochemist? Definitely a caster. Maybe a healomancer, especially if I make it into medical school, but I'm certainly skilled in several magical schools.... without being particularly strong in any one. I'd be a good unit for a side that wanted one caster to fill in a lot of gaps.
Rumours of my croaking have been greatly exaggerated.

I would be a Foolamancer, casting illusions is my thing, and its alot more usefull than most people think, now for example if erfworld grants bonuses for flanking attacks then if you veil your stack and have another stack attack the enemy then hit the enemy from behind your set, even against tougher and/or higher level enemies

I'd be a Marbit, because I taste delicious!
"Do it?" Dan, I'm not a Republic serial villain. Do you seriously think I'd explain my master-stroke if there remained the slightest chance of you affecting its outcome?

I did it thirty-five minutes ago.

It's hard to say, because there's still so much room for new units that we haven't seen yet. We don't even know too much about the classification of the units that we have seen.

I'd probably be a warlord. My personality is uncomfortably similar to Parson's, though I tend to be better at the big-picture production and resource management side of things than the small-scale tactical combat stuff. Warlords don't do that, do they? I guess that's an Overlord's job, but choosing that seems a bit presumptuous.

Otherwise, I guess I'd be a Thinkamancer (I believe learning and gaining knowledge is vastly beneficial and is worthwhile even for its own sake), Foolamancer (Hiding, disguising, and general trickery amuses me), or some other -mancer that specializes in disabling enemies rather than killing them. That seems to be my strategy in every tactical RPG I ever play; I either pile on so many status ailments that they're lucky if they even remember who they are, or if it's something mech-themed like Front Mission I just snipe everyone's arms off so they can't hold weapons anymore. :D

I guess I'll be presumptuous and say I would be an overlord. ;)

I can't even imagine going into battle unless it was under extreme circumstances, and casting spells would be great except someone else would always be telling me what to do (unless I was a barbarian caster, but that would bring up other problems).

I would be content to sit at my capital city, setting unit production and sending out scouts to survey the surrounding area. But I figure I would act more like a diplomat ruler and less like a warmonger.

Thinkamancer with a Leadership bonus. Or a Warlord able to cast Thinkamancy spells.
