It would change how every side views their connections to the Magic Kingdom, for one. It could easily mean that it will no longer be seen as neutral territory, particularly if there are any suspicions regarding Parson's origins and how complicit some casters may be.

Sizemore continues to change and mature.

Interesting choice of words. It implies every caster like him has an Erfmover device.

If it had said, "Sizemore's right hand was dragging his spade, Erfmover, behind him..."
It would have implied a uniqueness, or proper name.

The way Sizemore describes it, it sounds like Master class is granted based on a certain degree of skill, rather than a certain level.

I don't know if I would go so far as to say they aren't upset, but I think they have decided not to interfere no matter what their own opinions may be.

nice insight into how Sizemore views his discipline and how it has changed.

Also we have confirmation that casters level from just using their craft but that actually croaking other units is faster. This was hinted at back in book 1 when Sizemore was talking to Janis and said he 'never wanted to level that way again'; nice to have it spelled out.

All the pieces are in place - now Parson is going to make a game changing move that will result in a lot of folks croaking. Hopefully none of them will be Jack, Wanda, Sizemore or Maggie. I wonder if Janis and/or Marie will survive the chaos that is about to engulf not just Jetstone but Transylvito, the entire Magic Kingdom, and, to some degree, Faq.

Incidentally, Jafar, the Fairy Godmother, and Aeris all appear in the first Kingdom Hearts.

On a less off-topic note: can't wait to see how the boop hits the fan when Parson enters the Magic Kingdom.

Can someone explain what is so remarkable about Parson suddenly showing up in Jetstone?

-He gains levels at a brisk pace?
-He does something weird once he gets there, like defecting to Jetstone?
-MK becomes it's own faction, calling not only the allegiance of casters, but even their contractual obligations into question?
-MK is torn apart by internal strife, or otherwise exposing additional funny business that originates from there?

Why does he want to go there at all, beyond intentionally placing himself at risk, for the sake of his principles? This reminds me a great deal of the Three Kingdoms period in China, where generals of armies fought directly against one another, on a regular basis.
