Well, Jack might have some competition for my favorite caster now.

I like this guy!

Woo hoo! Free will debate coming up! Muahahaha!

And I already can't wait for an update that just features a conversation between Jack and Jojo.

I love the expression on Parson's face in the second-to-last panel.

"Free will? You seriously ambushed and chased down an interloper forbidden from entering your kingdom all by yourself to have a philosophical debate? Seriously?!"

Card tricks always involve a sucker.

Don't be that sucker, Parson! Run away!

*dusts off the Predictamancy scrolls*
So, here's a thought: Jojo's going to segue his free will question into handing Parson a Red Pill/Blue Pill scenario (the "card trick"). What Jojo doesn't tell Parson is that both "pills" are pure poison (or otherwise stop him from interfering at Jetstone). What Jojo doesn't expect is Parson taking the previously unmentioned Green Pill.

Stated another way, Jojo's setting up for a classic street-gambling Three-Card Monte scam, and the money card is "Incapacitate Jojo and make a break for it."

Er, no. Those aren't the lyrics. They are:

Jojo was a man who thought he was a loner
But he knew it wouldn't last.

http://www.amiright.com/misheard/stories/beatles.shtml ... not quite halfway down the page.

I suspect that Jojo may be trying to join GK's Side. That'd fit those lyrics, anyway. That, or he's about to try dispelling the Summon spell that brought Parson to Erfworld in the first place (fitting the refrain, Get back, Get back, Get back to where you once belonged ...).

Well, it IS the Magic Kingdom. That actually makes perfect sense.

Also, I gotta say, while Jojo looks a bit scruffy, I wouldn't go so far as to call him some sort of dog-faced boy.

Ooh, one last thing: CLEARLY Jojo supports my idea of Parson and Ace meeting and being totally awesome!
"Are you always so pessimistic?"

Now that's a quite unorthodox way to stop someone from running. :D

Yeah, not what anyone was expecting at all, though to be honest would anyone here like to be an Erfworld unit chasing down someone that big to initiate combat with them? I wouldn't in Jojo's position...one way trip to the Titans, that's for sure.

WOW!

OK, I had all sorts of conspiracy theories, but I didn't think that Jeftichew might be there for himself. He seems to be a wild card, a free agent. And... diametrically opposed to Wanda's doctrine. And, judging by the way Charlie controls his Archons, Charlie too.

Good job Rob, keep us guessing.
"Do it?" Dan, I'm not a Republic serial villain. Do you seriously think I'd explain my master-stroke if there remained the slightest chance of you affecting its outcome?

I did it thirty-five minutes ago.

Does that exclude taking his money if his money is good? Because I'm at a loss for who else could be employing him; it's certainly not the RCC2. And his comments do indicate that he's been contracted for a specific task.

I like how he's already tied Parson in a knot, anyway. If he turns to continue running, it's an unidentified scroll to the back. If he attacks, he'll be guilty of unprovoked assault on a supposedly neutral caster in the Magic Kingdom (and a sword isn't really nonlethal). As long as he stays to talk, other casters are bearing down on his position. Nice work.

So do unit stats include speed/evasion to influence whether they can successfully retreat from/avoid an encounter like this? It's not really a good idea strategically for Parson to waste any time engaging with this caster when for all he knows there are a bunch of other casters on their way to stop him.
