Theoretically, couldn't stanley have lead all of the remaining dragons to first croak ansom and his group, then use their remaining move to personally lead a strike on the rest of the siege in the column?

It was possible for Stanley to croak Ansom's group himself by using the dragon relay trick that Hamster had not developed yet yes. Following that by taking out enemy siege would leave Stanley in the open to be croaked by any of the coalition's archers and remaining archons and we know Charlie had quite a few in the general area.

the cheif warlord is closer to the queen. also she might have just been captured, turned, and in a thousand turns picked up an entirely different arken tool. relie on a profacy as a shield, and you get hoisted on your own petard. read "the branch" it makes this point beautifully
