In fact, how about two additions to the suggestions above:
1) Is it possible to visibly flag a post as having been reported? That way, nobody wastes time clicking on the ! sign only to find out that the post has already been reported.
2) Is it possible to visibly flag a user as having been reported for spam? So that the mods are less likely to get inundated with umpteen reports all concerning the same supposed spammer?
