I love how you manage so many references and imagery in just a few paragraphs. I'd also rather have delays and the good quality of updates than faster and bad updates.

Aww..I love this one. Sounds like even Caesar can mellow out once in a while. ;) I'd love it if someone did a fanart of the the four Warlords singing.

I know what you mean about mellow and excellent imagery, i found that very relaxing to read.

I'm also completely behind the sentiments of take your time for each piece, nobody whose opinion matters minds waiting for excellent art. I recall a brilliant comment over on the goblins comic regarding that where Thunt posted just the frame of the comic for people who said don't worry about finishing it post what you've got, and promised a full piece for everyone else when it was ready.

anyway, back to soaking in the mellow and idyllic happiness of thinking about bats, goats and open fields.

It seems animals don't count as units and don't fall under the auto-attack rule. Intersting fact.

There's an entry in the wiki ("Wildlife") with a proposed-canon writeup.
Is this a real holy war, or just a bunch of deluded boopholes croaking each other?

Yes, Wildlife are decidedly non-unit. Killing them seems to be hunting, as opposed to combat. Also, horned sheep are cool, with their turned-around, "bullhorn" horns.

Yes, that got a chuckle out of me also. And calling it "traditional folk" music was hilarious too. :)
"Do it?" Dan, I'm not a Republic serial villain. Do you seriously think I'd explain my master-stroke if there remained the slightest chance of you affecting its outcome?

I did it thirty-five minutes ago.

Could "Erf Angel" have been Vinny's idea? I feel that they way the song was described a little to much like that dance in that time traveling movie with that cool car. I think it is odd that those two have not had more time together since the end of book 1.

With all those warlords around, who would be auto-attacking the animals in this instance? That said, I'm sure that at least some animals don't elicit auto-attacks.

Musically, at least, the Transylvitans have a lot of style.

All classic hits. Huh, still in the 50's rebel style.

For those not familiar with 50's music:

I wonder if there would be slight deviations if they did American Pie...

While the horned sheep certainly seem to be wildlife, I'm not sure I would go so far as to say they aren't units. Remember, some units pop naturally in the wild. And the type of horns they have tell us that they are definitely not the same kind of horned sheep that live in the 'real world.'

The Klog about auto-attack was probably only considering combat units, not wildlife. I would say Wildlife units can be passive (the sheep) or hostile (wild dwagons).

Certainly the ecology of Erfworld appears diverse. Still, I imagine these wilflife units pop rather than be born/hatched.

I like that Jillian is always thinking in Survival Mode. Whether she's going to be released when they're done with her, or she makes a break for it, she's prepared.

An Archon is an Erf Archon. (Reminds me of the Simpsons: "It was some sort of land-sea-cow." Or some such.) It's like that joke about some other car make being the Rolls Royce of automobiles.

It's a folk traditional

if archons only arrived with the Arkendish, they wouldn't have been around when the song was written

also, who's to say there aren't Angel units?
