No takers?

It takes an entire phase to consume a potion. You can't fight and consume one.

Path? What path? That's where the plebs are coming from.

You can try to stand in any formation you like, remembering that the bridge is only wide enough for one character at a time.

Also: Rules change: PARRY - ignore the single most powerful attack against your character in a phase. This includes "Precise Blow".

Thanks!

Didn't we move a bit since that configuration? I thought, for example, that somebody would go protect the archers and Tim. And also that there would be three halberdiers plugging the bridge end. Also, Tim would be near the box ready to dish out potions like candy, I think.

Anyway, I think Ian Marius Stanley will go to Archer guarding duty, unless there's room to Derek's left AND Rider doesn't want to step back from the bridge, in which case, that's a better place to go (and Guard Rider, in that case).
The whole point of this is lost if you keep it a secret.

I believe Numma To leveled once during the last mission and I put the +1 into combat.

I'll then put a Piercing Blow on the Mage W

"Titan teeth, that's alot of power (wow) Just look at those archers, supported they can kill anybody. Ergh- I don't really want to step in front of that berseker either...
still... if someone has to do it, I guess I can, but, please tell me that someone thought of a better plan than 'charge'."

Spoiler: show
realistically, Z's going to kill whoever stands in front of him, and the (supported) archers have a good chance to kill someone every turn. I guess my best plan is to move in front of the 'seker, take the hit and have someone else finish him off but that won't work if he still gets def bonuses from shield and guard (instead of berserk cancelling the bonuses).

OOC:

It appeared like we can have three units stationed adjacent to the bridge end, so none of us needs to be on the bridge. Meanwhile, all of our melee units could take a swing at whoever's brave enough to step over the bridge. The warriors would be adjacent to the bridge, and the brobadiers adjacent to the warriors, guarding them. Melee-wise, that's a pretty good combo, and worked at Thermopilae.

About archers now, ... huh. Well, we shall fight in the shade.

If I'm reading your right, we should set up something like the above?

Red circles represent where enemy units can stand. This means 2 melee attacks on us, tops.
Blue circles represent where our Knight / Warrior should stand.
Green circles represent brobadiers.
Purple circle represents Tim, who can heal all.

Is this correct? If so, I'll step back the lower blue circle, and wave the warrior over to stand beside me.
Equilateratoria is now underway. New players are welcome to join at any time!

Yeah, that'd be it. I notice a green circle's not in range of the bridge- that fellow could guard Tim or one of the Nummas.

That would be great if our objective was just to hold the bridge. Unfortunately, it's to hold the bridge and protect the plebs, who will be moving through a large area where they're exposed to enemy fire. Admittedly none of them are on screen yet but when they show up we'll need to dispatch one or more units with Guard to look after them. It's a good formation for now, though.

I suspect that remaining north of the bridge will eliminate rank penalties/bonuses for cover when shooting enemy archers. Unfortunately, they outnumber us and we're looking at Mighty Blow spam, so that's not such a great thing. If we can whittle down their ranged cadre a bit it might prove useful, though.

Speaking of that, move to a spot safely behind as many friendly ranks as possible and Mighty Blow on Enemy W. Here's hoping I don't eat several enemy arrows while I've got lowered defense, and I would encourage our mage to blast their mage in the hopes that focused fire from all three of our ranged units will bring him down this turn.
