*ping*

Sorry for not posting some new art. In the past couple of days or so, what time I could spare was spent drawing this

Spoiler: show

which is not Erf related, and would not make much sense unless you've watched Prometheus the Movie. Also, spoilers. Possibly.

Setting up a side. For Communism!

The Advanced Organization League (AOL)
list][*]Basics
  • Theme - Internet memes
    • (EDIT) Logo - The Running Messenger
    • References?
  • “Play style”
    • Lightning raids and hit and run tactics. Highly coordinated.
    • Mostly supported by raids and fund raizers.
    • Mostly via alliance at this point. They used to be a lot bigger, but several years ago they suffered a huge loss against the Vulpus Infernus and have never fully recovered.
    • They rely on a mix of speed and brute force to win battles quickly and efficiently. They don't have the numbers nor the toughness to last in long fights or against significantly larger numbers.
  • Units
    • Appearance
    • General stats (Probably nothing specific, unless you’ve got a particular system in mind.)
    • Specials
    • Connotation (Are they respected? Ignored? Mocked?)
  • Cities
    • Proximity to other cities
    • Previous ownership, if any
    • Approximate Level
    • Terrain
  • Philosophy
    • Opinion on the Royals? - Screw em, they never did anything for us.
    • On the Titans?
    - It's cool we don't like the royals...right?
  • History
[*]Characters
  • Role (Ruler, Warlord, Caster, notable infantry...)
  • Personality
  • Backstory
  • Relationships
    • With characters in the side
    • And outside it
  • Appearance
[*]Relations
  • Alliances - Commie Devils alliance
  • Enemies - Capitalist Pigs alliance, Vulpus Infernus
  • Origins - One of Lord Gates warlords discovered a capital site and, having been cheesed off enough, broke off and founded his own side.
  • Relative power/size
[/list]

Currently WIP will be updating as I think of stuff.

I think ChessT would be interested in the Advanced Organization League because (I assume) "you've got males."

Yep. ;)

Unit ideas:

Cheese Throwers - An obscure and weird unit, it has a unique variety of shockomancy at its disposal. While their attacks, throwing small wedges of cheese, is laughably weak it does have an interesting side effect. It is so ludicrous that it actually has a high chance of stunning a stack for a short period of time the first time they are hit with it in a battle. Indeed, on rare occasions nearby enemy stacks are also stunned, though not for as long. Thus, this unit is the initial striking volley in many a raid. Indeed, most AOL raids starts with cries of "Throw the cheese!"

Nurdz - A natural ally of AOL, Nurdz are heavies with fabrication, high upkeep, low move as is standard for heavies, and low attack and defense for heavies. They are mostly used for their ability to rapidly fabricate weapons and armor with a high level of detail, one Nurd by themselves have been known to be able to make enough arrows to restock the entire garrisons in one turn. Some of their knight class units, called Leetz in honor of their most noble chieftain, Leet Haxor of the Golden Axe, can also make minor magical items. All their items tend to be highly stylized and on some occasions form has been known to get in the way of function. Nurdz have a weird natural hate for Twolls. Seeing one sends the Nurdz into a berserker rage as they will all charge into battle if able to do so. However while in this rage their stats are significantly boosted to the point where they are practically fighting with the strength of two heavies. No side near AOL produces Twolls anymore. The downside to the rage however is that afterwards there is a 20% chance that any Nurdz that raged will leave the tribe and form their own side. This "Rage Quit" is a risk AOL commanders have to be concerned about when they weigh their options.

Ah you mean our Convict Deals? If we capture you, we offer you a 30 turn free trial as a member of our side. If you aren't satisfied, simply switch back at any time and we'll ransom you back to your side at no extra cost.*

And hey, the Gentlemen aren't Royal either. They're on the wrong side here. They shouldn't be sucking up to those pompous fools. Our great Founder Jim Case had a vision. A vision that the common man of Erf was the true emissary of the Titanic Will, not some pompous fools who play courtly intrigues while the world around them burns in war! We, the public, are the future! There is a path the Titans have laid out, a line we all must walk and never stray off from. We have so sworn that AOL shall put everyone on line!

* Offer does not apply if you turn back in the field. Escorting is mandatory for the 30 turn trial. Exceeding the 30 turn limit is considered a sign of true loyalty. Not available in all areas. Must have combined combat stats 18 or higher to qualify. Hits does not qualify as a combat stat.

The SG don't take kindly to disrespecting the Royals, which the Titans saw fit to endow with better, and better improving, stats. Therefore it is the natural order of things for Royals to rule and even if by some Titanic mishap the SG are not themselves royal, they will always support Royalty, Nobility and Privilege.
