Parson's Friends

So an interesting thought occurred to me while reading through everything on the site.

Somewhere it had mentioned Parson's friends, who I had all but forgotten about. It was also mentioned that they may return to the story, but no hint as to how.

So what occurred to me is this: What about as enemy generals?

I mean, isn't it just absolutely perfectly right for what they were sitting down to when Parson was plotted away? He had designed a scenario for them to try and win against via asymmetric warfare. His friends are probably pretty good strategists too. Imagine Erfworld becoming their playground so to speak, while the Gobwin Knob faction attempts to take it over, lead by the most obsessive and probably capable(since it's more than just a hobby to him) of the bunch.

Thoughts?

That's been a recurring speculation for a while. Personally, I'd be a little dismayed if it actually happened, since it's more than a little pedestrian and overplayed.

What would be more interesting to me is if Parson's players got themselves a new game master, perhaps a rival of Parson's. And Parson starts seeing snippets of their campaign in his dreams. And those snippets bear an awful lot of resemblance to the scenario he finds himself in...
