Stoneheart Expands to the Northern Mountain

1. Stoneheart has a Vast Golem Army, Unerring Ranged Units, and an Unparalleled MAgical Armory with which to capture Territory

2. Stoneheart has Adept Casters, Abundant Casters, and a Massive Fortune with which to hasten and aid it's efforts

3. Stoneheart has an Honorable Reputation so it's new citizens know they will be treated fairly.

Nobgrub consolidates its losses and builds up its Military.
- Even being few the Clever Warlords know that the current position is unsustainable, therefore they have motivation to rebuild the Military.
- The recent victories have inspired a sense of patriotism in the people of Nobgrub, increasing the recruitment.
- The reclaimed mines provide a plentiful source of income for the Military.

The Stolen Coffers of Flimsywhimble are drained.
- It's EXCEPTIONAL AIRFORCE, demands extra pay for it's role in fighting off the Epic Waagh.
- It's Mighty Beasts are injured from the battle, requiring expensive medical treatment.
- It's people are paranoid of another assault from Nobgrub, demanding extra guards which require money to pay for the city even though it is not necessary.

Stoneheart reevaluates its defenses and get rid of its Lax Security

1. Stoneheart's Vast Golem Army needs to neither sleep nor eat, allowing for an ever vigilant guard force.

2. Stoneheart's Adept Casters and Plentiful Casters can seed the Kingdom with spells to aid keep out intruders

3. Stoneheart's Unnerring Archers have keen eyesight with which to spot infilitrators, they are aided in this by the Unparalleled Magical Armory

Secondary Argument:

The City of Auria declares Independence from Acotise!

1. Acotise is cut off from Auria since it no longer holds the Two Islands

2. Acotise has a Defeated Marine Force so they appear to be ineffectual and weak

3. Acotise has Rampant Disease and an Unhappy Populace, the citizens of Auria have no wish to be a part of such a nation

Flimsywhimble takes back the NORTHERN MOUNTAINS and CONQUERED FORESTS.
-The forces of Nobgrub are STRETCHED THIN, and their continuing INTERNAL STRIFE leaves them with nowhere near enough forces to seriously garrison all their massive conquered territories, so much of the lands can be taken uncontested.
-Flimsywhimble's EXCEPTIONAL AIRFORCE, POWERFUL ARTIFACTS, MIGHTY BEASTS, and even PLUCKY WARLORDS are well suited to locating and then utterly smashing those few forces who are being kept in proper military orders.
-While the territories may have been lost, the cunning strategies of Flimsywhimle's SAGE ADVISERS called for that, and their VICTORIOUS DESTINY pushes them onward to conquest.

ETheBoyce wrote:Stoneheart reevaluates its defenses and get rid of its Lax Security

Yes, but the DECADENT SLOTH of their people make them only replace it with INCOMPETENT GUARDIANS.
-Their ADEPT CASTERS and PLENTIFUL CASTERS are talented, but with little reason to apply that talent to monitoring due to extremely safe conditions- they'll rely too much on spells.
-The UNPAREALLELED MAGICAL ARMORY makes training and work seem unnecessary- why try hard when the magical items can basically win the battles on their own?
-The VAST GOLEM ARMY is much too literal to make effective security forces, lacking initiative or the organization required to be effective in their newly-assigned roles.

An hour and a half remain until the end of the turn.

The Empire of the Rising Hedgepig no longer has FINANCIAL PROBLEMS, instead they have MODEST WEALTH
* The Empire is sizeable, so new revenue is always available
* The Empire has recently defeated the Acostian Forces on the Two Islands, and thus have the Spoils of War
* Mrs Nobblytwink is an impressive ruler, capable of administering the National Treasury effectively.

Yes, and the Incompetent Guardians are UGLY BRUTES
* The Golems are not very beautiful
* They cannot think so well, and so behave in an oafish and bullying manner
* Stoneheart is a land of shadows, so the creators of the Golems couldn't see so well what they were making...

Stoneheart Expands to the borders of Nobgrub

Secondary Argument

The Waaagh of Nogrub suffers from a Secession of it's recently conquered territory

1. The lands Nobgrub conquered are tired of being run but a bunch of stinking foreigners and wish to rule themselves

2. Nobgrub has Internal Strife which lends aid to the Secessionist Movement

3. Nobgrub still hasn't resolved its Diplomatic Crisis which directly involves these lands

Nobgrub rebuilds its officer Core. (Restore the clever warlords)
- Nobgrub's Strong Military is demanding more warlords
- Nobgrub's few clever warlords know the importance of a strong officer core.
- Nobgrub's Hardworking Workforce provides the perfect recruitment base for an officer Core.

Yes Stoneheart Expands to the borders of Nobgrub, but the expansion stops the secession of Nobgrub's recently conquered territory.
- Many of the people in the territories prefer the stability of Nobgrubian management.
- The main source of food for the expanded population of the new territories are the plains of Nobgrub, they do not want to starve.
- Stoneheart's recent expansion worries them, for they do not have a Strong Military, Nobgrub's their only protection from Stoneheart's Imperialistic ambitions.

The Kingdom of Flimsywhimble gifts Nobgrub back their now-DRAINED COFFERS, resolving the ongoing DIPLOMATIC CRISIS for both parties and gaining Flimsywhimble a reputation as SAVVY TRADERS!
-The INTERNAL STRIFE afflicting Nobgrub leaves them more interested in resolving the DIPLOMATIC CRISIS than in arguing over details, while Flimsywhimble's SAGE ADVISERS are eager to offload their pilfered debts!
-Flimsywhimble's CHARISMATIC PARTISAN is well suited to succeed in such negotiations, and leave them looking like he came off much the better!
-Flimsywhimble's VICTORIOUS DESTINY will both help to ensure that financially beneficial trades go off a hitch and make it more obvious to observers that Flimsywhimble is going places, as that is readily apparent from their success!

ETheBoyce wrote:Stoneheart Expands to the borders of Nobgrub
Yes, and doing so pushes their capabilities so far they become WAR-WEARY, and worse, expend their MASSIVE FORTUNE until they are APPALLINGLY PENNILESS!
-Their DECADENT SLOTH causes virtually every action of the invasion to fall behind schedule, run overcost, and generally be a pain to deal with for everyone involved!
-The ADEPT CASTERS and UNERRING RANGED UNITS both have rightfully high opinions of their own capabilities, and accordingly demand massive paychecks and well appointed facilities even while at war- and that's before even bringing the VAST GOLEM ARMY into the situation, which has costs as vast as its numbers!
-Stoneheart's recent EXPANSION TO THE NORTHERN MOUNTAIN has already consumed a great deal of their resources for occupying land- their obsession with SUPERB DEFENSES and IMPENETRABLE WALLS makes securing new territory a daunting and expensive task directly at odds with their love of DECADENT SLOTH!

6 hours until the end of the turn...

The Empire of the Rising Hedgepig has NUMEROUS SLEEPER AGENTS
* The Empire has Fantastic Spies
* The Empire has an All-Pervaisive Intelligence Network
* No other Power has any form of intelligence or counter-intelligence network

The Kingdom of Flimsiwhimble has EXTRAORDINARY ARROGANCE
* The victorious destiny of the Kingdom means that winning is assumed
* The casual disregard of the Kingdom's sage advisers for the lives of the common folk is well known
* The Charismatic Partisan is critical of the non-Charismtic and less-Partisan

Primary: The INDOOR PLUMBING of Acotise spreads RAMPANT DISEASE throughout the SILVER SEA!
-Acotise has RAMPANT DISEASE (thanks, LtDave :P ).
-The recently constructed INDOOR PLUMBING system expels its sewage into the surrounding sea.
-Water-borne diseases are particularly nasty.

Secondary:

Yes, and Stoneheart throws a AN ILL-FATED BANQUET in celebration!
-To maintain morale, entertainment is needed - hence a BANQUET!
-The DECADENT SLOTH of Stoneheart, plus the WARS and DEBT, make the banquet ILL-FATED!
-Such a move has poor signamancy - think "Masque of the Red Death"!
