Man, you JUST slipped in before the update which would have totally invalidated that bet offer.

By the way, I think we can stop messing around with manually invalidating old bet offers. If significant new information has come up since it was made, ask for confirmation when you take a bet.

Hmmmmmm..... I'll take this one.

Well I'd have accepted it all the same.

Also, yeah I think you should put up a rule on the OP for auto-expiring bets. I think my short snippet of 'contractese' might be a bit too lawyerish though; perhaps something along the lines of "If relevant data has come up since a bet was offered (or since someone has offered to accept), then both parties must confirm their acceptance."

Heh, I'll take that one. It sounds so cool that I wouldn't mind loosing even twenty quatloos if it actually happens.

Note, however, that this does not mean I'm offering 20-to-one odds. I'll give you 4-to-1 though, because I feel like it.

I will bet 10q that the "figure" seen in the tower by Jillian is in fact Charlie.

Anyone care to bet on the outcome of the Battle of Diecast? I'll bet say three quatloos that Jillian will fail to take the City by storm.

0beron, remember you can offer non-1:1 odds.

I'll take that last bet - I think it's more likely than not that Jillian's going to pull this one off. Not MUCH more likely.

I bet 100 quatloos that Jillian pops out Bart's eye with a salad fork before the end of Book 0.

I might be willing to take one of these two bets, if a zero was dropped from each of them.

You can take part of a bet offer.

I'll take 10q of the salad fork bet, for instance. That leaves 90q for you or others.

Also, Whispri - do we agree that the city 'fell by storm'?

0beron - do you agree that the figure in the tower was not Charlie?

I'm inclined to agree...but given the forum speculation about Foolamancy being involved, let's wait until the doll reveals itself or Jillian leaves the city juuuust to be sure.

Fair enough.

Speaking of which, I offer a 5q bet that this doll is not secretly anyone.

I'll take the partial bets for the salad fork. That's fine with me.

Anyone care for a spot of stiff spotting with regards to Jillian's retinue?

drachefly wrote:Also, Whispri - do we agree that the city 'fell by storm'?

It certainly looks that way. Even if the wording had been something like 'Jillian will lose the Battle of Diecast' a Haffaton counter attack next turn wouldn't change that the City fell.

I officially concede my bet that the Doll is Charlie. The voice was female, and it got hacked to bits too so we know it was some kind of construct rather than a unit under Foolamancey

Got it.

Kandarin bet Vintermann 10q that the outcome of the air battle over Spacerock will hinge on the actions of Don's personal bat.

It looks like Vintermann won.

10 quatloos that Sizemore ends up attuning to the Arkenhammer.

Hinging on that, 10 more that the Hammer acts differently than how Stanley has been able to use it.

Another 10 that Charlie was also summoned as a Perfect Warlord, was attempted to be disbanded by his Ruler, the disbanding failed, and Charlie took over that side.

5 for Stanley getting croaked while Parson and all of the casters are in the Magick Kingdom, making them all Barbarian and putting the Arkenhammer up for grabs.

5 for a major battle between Wanda and Stanley over the uncroaked dwagons.

5 for Jillian's heir looking like either Wanda or Ansom.
