And also many hexes away, also in the heat of battle, Will feels the anguish of a billion souls crying out, then being extinguished- yet another Portal joke had occurred.

Deserts, or desserts? In Erf, this is critically important.

I know, I half considered adding an "Including Cake" to the end of that sentance.

Oh, I'm so tempted to try and veil Regus's crest to look like half of an Angelfood Cake; but no, Nemo isn't that kind of Foolamancer. I'm going for the feel of some sort of schemeing mastermind in disguise (who, of course, lets it show whenever thematically appropriate -and on Erf that usually means when it's funny).

So, how to salvage this situation...

"Of course there will cake. Plenty of Cake. Upside-down and inside-out cake. Right Whump?"

"...well as long as we have cake, you have my bow." Rudy sits back down, looking apraisingly on the mancer and his promises of cake.

Whump gives a loud Hmmm of agreement. "CAKE" The large opening in his helmet for his mouth is wide enough to let the other see a toothy grin, his teeth look like they are used to chewing on rocks. Whump examines the meat he's been cooking, biting a chunk of the meat and Mmmmm-ing.

So, I guess we should discuss marching order.

As many of us as possible should go in one stack to take advantage of Regus' leadership. But there are 10 of us, including the Naughty Kitty, so that means two will have to be shortchanged. Probably two legionaries, then.

I propose a tentative marching order something like this:

That really depends on the Legionaries stats, but I'm pretty sure the rest of us would benefit more than random NPCs with no names (I mean, names provide some bonus survivability, right?)

"I assume we will be using the marbits as raw materials to make the promised cake, then? Perhaps we will find some Flourbits and Eggbits, add a teaspoon of Vanilla Extractbits, and bake for twenty to twenty five minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean..."

Regus intentionally ignores the dialogue coming from his soldiers. After all, war was hell, and if breaking the fourth wall helped them calm down and get some sleep, it was worth it. Besides, it probably entertained the titans.

I can't see in the rules where there is a stack limit - perhaps I've missed it.
Given that everyone is level 1, it probably doesn't make a whole heap of difference if the stack is bigger than 8.

Many many hexes away, Bill wonders if he'll be able to try the marbit cake, which is strange for nobody on this side knows how to make marbit cake. Right?

Since I have a thing for plucky chew toys of fate, I'd like to take Zed-too under my wing too.

Which isn't entirely self-less. I've got a character focused obsessively on combat score, so it would be fitting for Zed-too to focus on being the besterest tank that ever was.

Just a quick note: the Darkness Rising Rules thread now has updates for all the proposed rules changes for the next overhaul, including new Luckamancy, Dollamancy, and Healamancy rules, Paragon/Regent abilities, city management, structures and siege changes. Please take some time to review these changes and post your thoughts, opinions, and complaints.

Remember: anything in the rules that can be abused by the players can be even more harshly abused by a GM with unlimited resources, so please point out anything that you think is unbalanced or prone to abuse.

Though he didn't feel like making it know, Whump had among his talents: Smashing, crushing, breaking, hitting things, hitting things harder, soaking damage, and baking. He'll just show off when the time comes. Hopefully he'd get to use most of his talents against these marbits, which he was sure he could make into a cake.

It's currently buried in the Status Effects section, but stacks are limited to 8 units.

Sure, you can run Zed-2. Warrior build is correct.

When it comes time to regroup, I wonder if we'll be sorting it out based on level or if we'll have high-levels in both groups?

I'm thinking that perhaps it should be Nemo and the Naughty Kitty that are unstacked; since Nemo isn't exactly a combat Powerhourse and the Naughty kitty can't get a stacking bonus unless Nemo does (I think I saw that in the other thread). Questions/Comments/Concerns?
