Marbit Island - COMPLETED

M1 is... cwoaked.
That's a strange word for a strange concept, but somehow it seems just right. Cwoaked.
He was here. He was a commander. He was issuing orders. Everything was fine. But now... cwoaked.

This turn a Wild Dawg popped in the hex, and started eating the rations. M1 went to stop it, and they fought, but somehow the Dawg rolled a Crit, and now M1 is cwoaked.

What do we do? Who is in charge? Without a commander to be in command, how will we survive?
M1 knew what had happened, he knew where we had come from, and where we were going. He knew the orders. He knew his own name. Bitchu. He never passed on the orders. Never explained much. Just "Do this, M2. Do that, M3." Never even gave us names.

And now what?

What will happen on... Marbit Island?

Rules (such as they are)
Marbit Island is a play-by-post game run by me. Each player will be a Marbit, looking to survive here.
You are a newly popped unit, not quite clear on what happens.
Your Stats are:
Combat 2, Defence 2, Hits 5, Move 4.

Move is probably the most important stat early on. It determines the number of actions you can take in a turn - move into other hexes, gather food, cut trees, build, etc.

Rations
Each turn a Marbit needs to eat. If they start a turn with rations available (red dots in the centre of the hex) they will eat automatically. Otherwise they will need to gather food, and then spend an action eating.


There are four Marbits up to four players, but more will pop as we go, so more players can join.
I'll try to have a turn every 24 to 48 hours.

If you would like to play, indicate here. The first four players will get to start straight up, and others will be added to the pop queue.

There were no rations in hex when the turn started (they were eaten by the Dawg).
The Dawg itself has been cwoaked, and yields three rations. Marbits will have to spend one action to eat this turn. If you don't eat for too long, you'll starve.

After eating, your next most pressing urge is to build more huts...

Dibs on M2, who will eat a ration, and proceed to build a hut.

Is that dropped axe something that can be picked up and used? If so, I'll use my first action to grab it instead.

M3 will give the last ration to M4 (whoever claims him), smile, then spend 1 action to start gathering food from the bushes.

OOC LTD ave you already have my orders (above) for this turn /OOC

M6 looks around while gathering and says "M3 & M4 you have supplies so please see what is nearby, there *points out notheast to M3* and there *points out the north to M4* . I will do so when I have gathered enough for the trip. Oh and don't forget to come back and let us know what is there.
M5 come help me gather. M2 you continue to chop wood when you have eaten...you're doing it so well

M3 giggles at M6's initiative and nods, Gathering Food for his Journey. Patting M4 on the shoulder, M3 hugs M4 "Good luck, see you in the country side, ya?" then starts exploring to the North East.

Remember we're looking for more berry bushes or a good place to use the wood to build another hut. So come back and let us know what you find...oh and bring back food, if you can"

OOC LTD Dave I'm not quite getting how the food gathering & replenishing goes. The Marbits ate 4 and collected 6 last turn so if they ate the 3 on the floor they used 3 from one bush and 4 from the other. Shouldn't there thus be an uneven number on the the bushes ? Even if the hex just replaces 1 there should then be 3 missing from each bush not just one. BTW I'm not expecting you to explain the workings. I only ask so you can confirm you've not made a mistake and then can tell me to keep working on it. ;) Cheers /OOC

Well, he sleeps all night and he works all day, so maybe.


On the food thing, I think I'm right, except that there were rations for all five marbits at the start of the turn, meaning that M6's status should be "fed" not "hungry".

You gathered 6 food, and the bushes replenished themselves appropriately. Maybe. Who knows?
