I can't help wondering what Wanda would have done with two Arkentools?

We know from Parson's Klog that there are four known Arkentools. Yet we've never seen Parson do the obvious thing, the thing that we do, namely ask what the fourth thing is. Since it's pretty damn important to his sides' ultimate objective, this would be a strange oversight - unless the fourth known Arkentool was the shoes (now extremely likely), and the shoes were known to have left Erfworld with Judy.

Maybe we'll see in a flashback:

Parson: What about this fourth known Arkentool that the stupid meal mentions?
Wanda: It's gone from Erf forever.
Parson: Are you sure? How do you know?
Wanda: ... I just know.

How did I read that without realizing the red shoes were arkentools. I suppose it's partially because this is the first time a 'highly particular' real world artifact is an arkentool. Before, they were just types of things.

It's my low expectations. I'm not waiting for something important to happen, so when it does, it just goes WHOOSH. Lookamancy skill: below average.

Still, if Maxwell was attuned to the arkenshoes, then that means he made the living golems with arkentool power, which means everything adds up logically.

It comes from Marie in Faq. We've seen it in a single-panel flashback scene with no text, as I recall.

Anyone else notice Judy's use of the word 'kill' rather than 'croak'? She sounded sober and aware here, so I wonder if the shoes have any impact on the effects of the flowers.

We have seen plenty of examples of wordplay with real effects in Erfworld. It seems to be the way things work. Turnamancers can turn people, but they can also effect Turns , and so on.

So it may be significant that shoes have soles.

Yes, it seems a little odd that one of his questions was not 'Hey are there any other arkentools, and what are they?' But he may have asked this almost immediately, and the answer was "Oh yea, there are some red shoes as well, but X happened to them so they aren't relevant right now."

For all we know, Wanda has told Parson about the Arkenshoes off-camera, as it were. It just hasn't been relevant because neither of them have the Arkenshoes.

Maybe they get destroyed (less likely), or they get used by Judy to take her back to stupid world and are thereby removed from play (more likely), and therefore aren't the 4th known arkentool the Stupid Meal will later allude to.

So...

Arkendish gives unmatched Thinkamancy. Pliers give unmatched Croakamancy. Hammer probably gives unmatched Carnimancy (flashy, looks like toy, turns pigeons to walnuts and vice versa, basic Shockamancy etc). My guess is that shoes either give unmatched Findamancy (not Lookamancy, but Findamancy, summoning and traveling magic) or Dirtamancy ('my boots are made for walking and that is what they do', and they'll walk all over your flowers). We shall see.

I'm not fully convinced that it's the Arkenshoes power that is giving life to the Golems here, althought its very reasonable.

Wanda has been dabbling in Dollamancy (motion + fate), who is similar to crookamancy (motion+matter+fate), what if she is animating the Golems, making a senile Judy believe they returned to life and giving her motivation to get the red slippers from their hidding place and confront Olive?
