The Very Best, Like Nobody Ever Was, Back Again.

Postby The Dark Fiddler » Fri May 08, 2009 4:20 pm

Of course, this is a Pokemon thread. More of an announcement I guess. Anyway, Nintendo has announced that Gold and Silver versions ARE being remade, named HeartGold and SoulSilver.

Also, if I seem unenthused, do not fall for it, I think I'm so happy that it's blown my mind.
Oh how I wish I could be a tool.

Alas, I mere middle schooler am I, and the resources I lack to pay the fee.

Boop the economy, by the way.

A tool in spirit, I suppose.

I've gotta say, even though I think that GSC are the weakest in the series, I'm very excited for this. :D

I must respectfully disagree. GSC provided us a polished version of not only the original games getting rid of the clunkyness, but allowed a fair amount of back trading with RBY for new skills.

Took them freaking long enough! GSC was my favorite of the series, Especially with the whole revisiting the areas from the previous game thing.

Seems that they're bringing back that thing from Yellow where your starter follows you around.

I hope it can evolve this time...

Doh! More Poke-madness to eat away at my paycheck? And I just bought Battle Revolution yesterday.

Curse you, Nintendo!

I'm not sure how I feel about them remaking it. Sure Gold and Silver were great... but do I really want to do all that work over again? I'm pretty sure most of my childhood was spent in front of a Gameboy Color.

Personally i think gold and silver were the best Pokemon wise. With the added benefits of the newer games it'll truly by the best there ever was.

When I saw that Silver would be updated for the DS, I freaked out with joy. I have very special memories of Silver. It's going to be fantastic. Johto is my second-favorite generation (only behind the original). I greatly support this move by Nintendo.
