Digging is a unit's special ability that allows it to dig through earth - to create tunnels in mountains or to engage in mining.

Units with digging special can be effectively used as siege units if equipped with a Siege Tower. Siege tower acts as a portable shelter for digger units and allows them to dig into city walls without taking excessive losses from city defenses.
