Panel 1
Parson and Wanda are descending a stairwell. It is wide with a slow decline. Wanda is in the lead carrying a glowing light, with Parson trailing, using a hand on the inner wall to brace himself. There is no outer railing. The passage is dark gray stone, and poorly lit. | [edit] |
Parson Gotti: I'm just trying to imagine how that could have gone any worse.
Wanda Firebaugh: Do you suppose that's the best use of your imagination right now? | [edit] |
Panel 2
The view focuses on Parson's upper body. He looks saddened, and the dark gray walls enhance the depressing atmosphere of Parson's situation. | [edit] |
Panel 3
Parson exits a stairwell, following Wanda into a hallway. The passage is made of the same dark gray stone as the previous stairwell. | [edit] |
Panel 4
Wanda looks back at Parson, who is off panel, as she approaches a doorway. Her light glows in her hand, and there is a yellow adornment on the ceiling near the doorway. | [edit] |
Panel 5
Parson enters the room where Wanda stands. It is brighter here, and his new armor shines. Wanda retains her light globe, and so is brightly lit from her left side. Two yellow adornments are placed above the arched doorway that Parson is passing through. To his left and right are bookcases. | [edit] |
Panel 6
From behind, Parson dominates the left side of the frame. Wanda remains in front, receding on the right. There are more bookshelves in the background. This is the library. | [edit] |
Parson Gotti: He's his own worst enemy, isn't he?
Wanda Firebaugh: Parson, you've asked me many questions I cannot answer.
Some of these books might help.
But you haven't asked what you really need to know from me. | [edit] |
Panel 7
In the foreground, Wanda removes a book from a shelf. Parson looks on, silently. | [edit] |
(There is no text in this panel.) | [edit] |
Panel 8
Parson is taking a seat on a bench on the right, while Wanda carries over a small stack of books. A hovering light is hovering above the table casting shadows and brightening the faces of the pair. | [edit] |
Panel 9
Wanda is seen from above and behind as she joins Parson at the brown table, the stack of books and the floating light between them. | [edit] |
Wanda Firebaugh: Stop fighting him.
Never challenge his dominance.
When you know what needs to be done, arrange it so that he thinks it was his idea.
Let him have your way.
Parson Gotti: I see. | [edit] |
Panel 10
This is an upper body shot of Wanda against the library's brown background. She has an enigmatic smile as she speaks. A lick of raven-colored hair falls down between her eyes from her brow. | [edit] |
Panel 11
Parson is slightly right of center in the frame as he addresses Wanda, who is off-panel. The light from the glowing ball reflects off his breastplate as he reaches for a book. | [edit] |
Parson Gotti: Wow. Were you always this scary? Even as a child?
I kind of picture you as Wednesday Addams[1]. | [edit] |
Panel 12
A wide view from above shows that the library is circular, with a single entrance. There are seven bookselves on the walls, and a single table in the center. Everything is medium brown except for Parson and Wanda, who sit at the central table illuminated by glowing yellow light. | [edit] |
