Ansom stands behind Vinny and puts an arm on his shoulder. Vinny does not share the celebratory mood; his face is glum and serious.[edit]

Prince Ansom: Vinny, reports are that we've won every engagement.

Every single one.

Vinny Doombats: Mm.

Prince Ansom: Yet you don't look happy about that. 		[edit]

Vinny Doombats: I saw what was coming.

Vinny Doombats: Now, I ain't a Mathamancer.

But we shoulda lost 5 or 6 whole stacks before we beat those guys. 		[edit]

Ansom extends a hand palm-up, a puzzled look on his face.[edit]
Prince Ansom: So... what do you think is happening? [edit]

Vinny looks downward, still frowning, his arms still crossed.[edit]

Vinny Doombats: I don't know, boss!

I just know it ain't right!

I shoulda left some bats inside the column! 		[edit]

Ansom stares forward with an unhappy but determined look.[edit]

Prince Ansom: It pains me to believe you, Vinnny.

But I do. 		[edit]

Vinny has stepped away, glancing upward and raising an arm. In the background, a trooper hands Ansom a piece of paper.[edit]

Vinny Doombats: Y'know, if Stanley's guys were just hittin part of a stack and pulling out, those'd count as wins for us.

Trooper: Unit report, Your Highness. 		[edit]

Vinny continues speaking. He has an eyebrow raised, as if startled.[edit]

Vinny Doombats: Crap, they do some real damage that way.

They could beat us by losin. Maybe that's what's-- 		[edit]

Ansom grinds his teeth in rage as he crumples the report. Vinny looks at him unhappily.[edit]
