descent is a weird name (I thought it meant another definition, to go down). How's about 'heritage'?

"Descent" seemed like the best name to cover both the usage of "family" descriptors (e.g. the Erfworld meaning of Jillian calling Banhammer her "father") and the overall line-of-descent concept (e.g. royals claiming a lineage going back to the time of the Titans). "Heritage" seems to me to lean almost exclusively toward the latter. I'm open to suggestions on a better name -- "Genealogy" or "Lineage", perhaps. Hmmm... Further speculation; it's possible that they are in fact blood related, but the mechanics of their world make them pop at a certain point, in their prime. Given that there are no 'kids' in their world. - NemFX 07:27, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

My suggestion is that the relationship "popped as the ruler's heir" is the closest Erfworld equivalent of being a blood relation (hence, Jillian referring to King Banhammer as her "father", etc). SteveMB 18:30, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
