Race: Men
Faction: Magic Kingdom (formerly Homekey, Follywood)
Class: Caster (Dirtamancer)

Proposed Canon

First Appearance: Digdoug - Episode 1

Lord Digdoug Mole is a Dirtamancer who was in service to Homekey. He originated from Follywood[1], but King Posbrake traded away his own son[2] and heir for him. Follywoood was almost embarrassed to have popped a Dirtamancer and was only too happy to make the trade. But King Posbrake understood a Dirtamancer's true value and used Digdoug as an integral part of the strategy of his side.

Instead of spending money on city upgrades, King Posbrake used Digdoug to harden them with traps. As a result, even though Homekey's cities were low level, they had the defensive power of a higher level city, thus making Homekey's enemies have to fight harder for a less valuable prize.[3]

Digdoug was forbidden from entering the Magic Kingdom while serving at Follywood by his Chief Caster, Willis Circle.[4]

Eventually, the side of Homekey fell under mysterious and rather suspicious circumstances, leaving Digdoug stranded in the Magic Kingdom, under the thumb of a Carnymancer named Dove Barstool.

After getting back on his feet, Dove gave him the deceased King Posbrake's ring and he went out to seek revenge against Charlescomm. A Predictamancer named Carniac foretold that the ring would belong to a ruler once again.

Real World References

His name is a reference to Dig Dug, an arcade game published by Namco revolving around the task of tunneling through the ground and defeating underground monsters.

The Digdoug story arc is one of four original, stand-alone Erfworld stories that were written for and inspired by the top level donors to the first Kickstarter project (Erfworld Year of the Dwagon).
