A Gwiffon is a non-humanoid flying Unit roughly the shape of a bird. It is fast moving and a capable combatant. They are used by Jillian as mounts.Erf-b1-p007Erf-b1-p009
Gwiffons emit a 'peep!' sound effect.Erf-b1-p050
Gwiffons take a small penalty to movement when passing through mountains and no penalty when passing through hills.
Gwiffons get squishy when rained on.
It appears that Gwiffons, like Megalogwiffs can capture prisoners. However (probably due to their smaller size) they seem only capable of capturing one or two, as opposed to twenty-five that Queen Jillian's Megalogwiff can carry. It should be noted that those shown with two prisoners do not have someone riding them, possibly indicating that weight is another factor in the amount one Gwiffon can carry.

- Faq - Queendom, led by Jillian Zamussels, which once raised shmuckers by hiring out Gwiffon and Megalogwiff riding mercenaries (including Jillian) to other sides.Erf-b1-p082

Jillian refers to them as 'gummy beasts',Erf-b1-p050 referring to the fact that they seem to be one sticky, gelatinous material all the way through.Erf-b1-p012
This may explain why they get squishy in the rain.
In the first intermission, page 15, Jillian allows her Gwiffons to eat the marrow, hooves and horns from horned sheep carcasses. These feeding habits are a reference to the fact that gelatin is made from the bone marrow of animals.
In the first intermission, after becoming the new Queen of Faq, Jillian begins to ride a larger, more powerful and more expensive Flyer Unit called a "Megalogwiff". This is presumably a variant of the Gwiffon, but no other details are provided about it, save that Jillian saved some after first becoming a Barbarian, after which she could no longer afford to Pop new ones, but was forced to sacrifice them in order to escape an ambush.
[edit] Interesting Side Notes
When Wanda is summoning Parson, Stanley asks for someone who (among other things) snacks on gwiffons and eats Marbits for breakfast.[1] Sometimes, Stanley actually gets what he asks for.
[edit] Real World Reference
Gwiffons appear to be based on the Marshmallow Peep, a favorite snack food of Parson's.Erf-b1-p015
