Jillian and Vinny seemed to like each other from the beginning. Even within just a few turns they seemed at ease with each other and to trust each other. When Faq was rebuilt Vinny was assigned as a diplomatic liaison.
At some unknown point the two became lovers. Their relationship has become increasingly strained due to Don King's demands and Jillian's secrets regarding her alliance with Charlie.
