Panels: 12
Previous LIAB 3 Next LIAB 5 [edit]

Panel 1

We see Ansom walking away, a somewhat disappointed expression on his face. His cape billows behind him. Over Ansom's shoulder, Ossomer stands with his hands on his hips, and Tramennis stands with his right hand on his hip and his right foot forward.[edit]

Ansom: So be it.

Ansom: We have nothing further to discuss.

Prince Ossomer: You've made a tactical blunder, Ansom.

Prince Ossomer: And a basic one.

Prince Ossomer: You cannot get your siege engines to Jetstone without taking this hex. And you cannot take this hex.
[edit]

Panel 2

A close-up of Ansom's face, wearing a grim expression. Over his shoulder, Ossomer and Tramennis have not moved, but we can see that they are smirking.[edit]
(There is no text in this panel.) [edit]

Panel 3

Ansom, turned halfway so that the wall of the bridge is behind him, looking back over his left shoulder. His expression is confident.[edit]

Ansom: We certainly could.

Prince Tramennis: Nnnope.
[edit]

Panel 4

Ansom has returned to where he was standing in the previous page, with his left arm raised, palm outwards towards his brothers. Ossomer and Tramennis have not moved.[edit]

Ansom: Assuming you brought maximum stacks of top heavies, we still have the forces to fight through you...

Prince Ossomer: This is a capital fight, brother.

Ansom: By which you mean?
[edit]

Panel 5

We look over Ossomer's shoulder at Ansom, who is standing with his hands on his hips, his mouth slightly opened. In the background, we see a sourmander with a rider (presumably Wanda Firebaugh), a Siege Tower, the giraffe Cloth Golem, and several other units. From what we can see of Ossomer's face, he is still smiling.[edit]

Prince Ossomer: Father approved deployment of casters to my command.

Unlike the last Chief Warlord to make that request of him.
[edit]

Panel 6

Looking over Ansom's shoulder as he points to the other side of the bridge. Tramennis is grinning at him, and Ossomer is smirking.[edit]

Prince Tramennis: Oh!

Oh, that zinged him, Ossomer.

I saw his hair move.

Ansom: What, all the casters?

To that hex?
[edit]

Panel 7

A split panel. On the left, a close-up of Ansom's face in profile, rubbing his chin with his left hand as he speaks. On the right, a close-up of Ossomer's face in profile, smiling as he also speaks.[edit]

Prince Ossomer: All but Cubbins, yes.

So. With a Dollamancer to heal the Cloth Golems and a Healomancer for the rest...

Ansom: Yes...

Yes, and a Dittomancer doubling leadership and specials...duplicating surviving units...I see.
[edit]

Panel 8

Facing Ansom as he walks away again. His head is bowed somewhat, and his expression is disappointed. Behind him, Ossomer and Tramennis have not moved.[edit]
Ansom: You're more committed to holding this bridge than I'd realized. [edit]

Panel 9

A wide view looking from behind and somewhat to the left of Ossomer and Tramennis, neither of whom has moved. Ansom continues to walk back towards his army, his cape billowing behind him. We can see a pink dwagon and a pink sourmander, three siege towers, the giraffe Cloth Golem, and Ansom's carpet clearly.[edit]

Prince Ossomer: You made it easy!

Bringing your usual siege-heavy infantry assault? Come now, Ansom.

Someday, you must develop some tactical imagination!
[edit]

Panel 10

Looking at Ansom as he rejoins his forces, his back still turned to the Jetstone side. On the left side of the panel, we see a male unit with gray skin in black armor and helm with finlike protrusions and highlights of blue, yellow, and purple.[1] On the right side, we see Wanda Firebaugh[2] mounted on a pink dwagon. Both are looking at Ansom, and the unit on the left is smiling slightly.[edit]

Ansom: Dispel the veil.

Jack Snipe: Aye, Warlord.
[edit]

Panel 11

As Ansom turns to mount his carpet, the veil falls, revealing the unit in black armor from the previous panel to be Jack Snipe, and the siege towers and infantry to be large stacks of dwagons and Archons. Wanda is holding the Arkenpliers. Jack is actually wearing a purple suit with a blue shirt, a white straw hat with a purple ribbon around it, and a beige bow-tie. He is carrying a cane or staff with an 8-ball at the top.[3][edit]
(There is no text in this panel.) [edit]

Panel 12

In the foreground, Ansom stands beside his carpet, his mouth open as he shouts orders. Behind him, a purple Dwagon and three Decrypted Archons take off.[edit]

Ansom: Archons, fly!

Casters and Warlords!

Mount up!
