Proposed Canon
Mines may be used to generate Shmuckers by the owning Side.
Natural Allies support themselves through many activities, including mining.
Mines can occasionally, rarely generate extra money through random events. Erf-b1-p001
Speculation
Mines might require Units to be present in them to generate Shmuckers.
Mines might be their own Terrain Type, or might augment a Terrain Type like Mountains or High Mountains.
Mines might normally generate Shmuckers directly, or generate Gems which can be turned into Shmuckers.
