Dollamancy is one of the three disciplines of the Magic class Spookism, and composed solely of the element of Motion; it is aligned with the axis of Fate.1

"Look, there's a lot you can do in Dollamancy. It's fabrication with a motion element, right?"
-Ace Hardware, LIAB Text 30

Abilities
*Can create non-living Units, including:
**Scarecrow
**Dolls
**Molls
**Cloth Golems
**Tchotchkes
**Action Figures

*Can create small nonmagical items, such as tools or baskets, or Raiment (armor or clothes).

*Can create "accessories," including Ossomer's bracer.

*Heal cloth golems and perhaps other created units.

*Provides a leadership/combat bonus to their golems, similar to a Croakamancer with Uncroaked units or Dirtamancers with their golems

Known Dollamancers
*Ken of the Magic Kingdom (referenced, but not yet introduced)First Intermission 25
*Transylvito Dollamancer (not yet introduced, though Jillian speculates that Transylvito likely employs one to create its Scarecrow, Doll, and Moll units.) First Intermission 13 Ace calls him a "pervert."LIAB Text 30
* Ace Hardware (current Jetstone dollamancer)
* Holly Shortcake (former Jetstone dollamancer, croaked)
* Teddy Clothespin - Sold Wanda new livery in the Magic Kingdom while she was with Goodminton. Side unknown, possibly barbarian.
*Barton of Haffaton, croaked

Speculation
*Related to 'dressing up' units and buildings. Benefits other than aesthetic are unknown. May increase Loyalty of units?
*May involve a 'Voodoo Doll' type of control that forces a unit to act against its own will.
*Accessories are created by Dollamancy. These may be Magic Items, or may be mundane.
*It may be possible for a Dollamancer to create Units from wood, like wooden horses or nutcrackers. Or wood Golems.
*It might be possible to create a sort of golem construct for training, like a quintain, which can easily be salvaged after being defeated for experience.

Natural Dollamancy
*Maggie said Twolls have a form of natural dollamacy, allowing them to construct some non-magical items such as Parson's breast plate.
*Maggie also indicated Warlords and some casters have a form of natural dollamancy that allows them to create their own livery for their units. An example of this is when Wanda causes the units she mass-uncroaked during the siege of Gobwin Knob to appear wearing Parson's hamstard livery.
* Some evidence suggests that dwagons practice a form of Natural Dollamancy as some seem to have armor and others do not. This armor is similar to that used by armored horses in Medieval conflicts.

Speculation
It is suggested that chances to see through a veil are determined by the number of units veiled multiplied by the number of warlords looking. In Page 1071 there are 11 warlords looking for "30 or so" units giving around 300 chances. A direct multiplication would give 330 chances for that particular stack to find 30 veiled units.

Another explanation for "330 chances" is that each warlord rolls once against each veiled unit that it might see. If the roll is a success, that warlord sees that unit. The chances of winning that roll would therefore still be unknown.
Brother Orwell was Chief Lookamancer to Faq, during the time before the fall of the first Kingdom.

He was involved in hiding Faq from other sides - particularly in planning movement of units entering and leaving the kingdom, together with Marie Lavraie.

He was much taken with Olive Branch and voluntarily turned to Haffaton at King Banhammer's suggestion. This turned out to be a big mistake. When Jillian tried to fullfill the prophecy to croak Olive Branch, Orwell managed to surprise her by casting a blindness spell, forcing her to croak him.

Real World References
'Orwell' is probably a reference to George Orwell, a British author of the 1900's, known for stories such as 1984, where the protagonist, and many others in the story were constantly observed by cameras, and a state security apparatus known as 'Big Brother'. The first reference to Orwell referred to him as "'big' Brother Orwell." George Orwell was a firm believer in socialism, but he was also very critical and suspicious of several of its standard bearers. This is suitably ironic as Brother Orwell falls for Haffaton's brand of peace quickly and completely.

It is unlikely that Orwell is a reference to 'Orwell Engineering', which is a company that specializes in the production of precision machinery for the hot end of float glass production. There has not been mention of Eyemancy, but it is possible that Lookamancy provides the framework for this. If this is possible, then the Lookamancer Orwell may create spells to enhance vision, or Magic Items, such lenses or eyeglasses to allow for long-distance sight, much as the bats of Transylvito allow a unit to see occurrences in other hexes.
Jillian Zamussels was popped more than 700 turns ago (before 625 BW)2, as heir to King Banhammer of the Kingdom of Faq after Marie Lavraie predicted that Faq would be destroyed.IPTSF Text 34 When Faq was, as Predicted, destroyed by Stanley during his rise to power, she became a Barbarian mercenary.

As a Princess, Jillian did not understand or appreciate her Father's interest in Faqian Philosophy. If Jillian's personality was designed to enable her to survive the destruction of Faq, and then to gather the resources needed to rebuild Faq, then her intense concentration on the development of military skills makes sense. For at least 200 turns of her existence she would not put up with anyone calling her "Princess". IPTSF Text 27

At the beginning of the Battle of Gobwin Knob, Jillian Zamussels was a mercenary warlord in the service of Prince Ansom's Royal Crown Coalition against Stanley the Tool's Gobwin Knob faction.

Jillian is now the Queen of the newly restored faction of Faq.2009 As a consequence of becoming Queen, Jillian is becoming more mature. She has ordered the production of a new Royal Heir for Faq, in return for certain concessions from Don King. By hiring Vanna, she has accelerated the speed at which her new heir is being created. She has also formed alliances with Charlie and the Western Giants. Unlike most Royals, she may not be a strong believer in Royalism. At the beginning of <i>Love is a Battlefield</i>, she is in the capital city of Jetstone.

The Metamorphosis from Barbarian to Queen
As a Barbarian, Jillian regularly took incredible risks. On her second mission as a barbarian she was almost killed. First_Intermission_41 Ansom found this irritating, but for a long time, he didn't find it suspicious, probably because it was how he expected a high-level Barbarian Warlord to behave.

All Warlords probably have a fairly expensive upkeep cost. This means that Barbarian Warlords have to be able to pay their own expensive upkeep, or disband. A Barbarian Warlord simply cannot afford to take a cautious, careful approach to life. She must make large profits, in order to pay her large upkeep. If the only way to make those large profits is by taking huge risks, then she knows that while she might die in battle, she will certainly die if she can't make the money needed to pay her upkeep. If she succeeds, she will rise in level, as Jillian did. But rising in level is not an unmixed blessing for a Barbarian. It makes her more capable, and therefore makes her services more marketable, but it also increases the amount of money she must earn to pay her upkeep.

Jillian survived and succeeded as a mercenary because she always took just the right risks. But now she is a Queen, who can draw upon the entire resources of her side. Unlike Barbarians, Rulers can and must take a cautious approach to life, and most of them do. They certainly want to expand their sides, but they must carefully manage and develop their resources. and avoid wars they can't reasonably expect to win. The difference in strategy between a Barbarian and a Queen is comparable to that between a weed and a redwood.

Or at least, that would be the case under normal circumstances. Jillian has become Queen at an unprecedented time in Erfworld's history. Never before have the Rulers of Erfworld faced such desperate challenges. The old strategies will simply not work. In order to survive, Rulers must try new ideas and take new risks. And Jillian, because of her time as a Barbarian Warlord, may be the only Ruler on either side of the War who has the right instincts.

Jillian's Weapons
Jillian normally prefers to fight from the back of a gwiffon. She carries a large greatsword named Three-EdgedIPTSF Text 28, and a dagger.

Plot
Jillian is a barbarian warlord, hired to lead Prince Ansom's flying units. She is a good tactical fighter, but reckless, and has been known to seek out combat even when it is irrelevant to the mission and contrary to orders.

Her personal relationship to Prince Ansom is ambiguous when the two first meet. She rejects an invitation to spend the night in his tent; however, she later approaches the tent as if reconsidering the offer, but walks away.

While flying a scouting mission, riding a gwiffon with a flight of orlys as support, Jillian encounters a group of Stanley's dwagons. She croaks a blue dwagon before she is captured and taken to Gobwin Knob.

When Wanda Firebaugh arrives to interrogate her, Jillian proposes that "both of us get out of here." Wanda's response is to strike her with a whip and instruct Jillian to address her as "Mistress". After Jillian complies, Wanda casts an unspecified Spell (presumably her Suggestion Spell to manipulate Jillian's actions).

After the interrogation, Jillian shows signs of considerable physical torture, and has apparently told Wanda everything she wanted to know. However, she is also chatting with her interrogator in an offhand, even friendly, manner. There is a strong implication (at least) of a sadomasochistic relationship between the two.

The following turn, Jillian is used as bait in a trap to lure Ansom out to where he could easily be ambushed by Stanley's Dwagons. The plan fails, and Jillian meets up with Sir Webinar and Dora, and then Charlie's Archons. Meanwhile, the Coalition column is raided by dwagons, and Prince Ansom leads an expeditionary force to finish them off while they are still wounded and vulnerable. This turns out to be another, more successful, trap. Ansom calls on Jillian and the forces accompanying her to hunt the wounded dwagons.

After a long search, with little Move left, Jillian et al. discover the dwagons hovering over a nearby lake. Jillian becomes conflicted: she knows her duty is to destroy the dwagons, but Wanda's Suggestion Spell is pressuring her to find a reason to do something else. The Archons approach her and engage her, trying to help resolve the conflict, pointing out the spell. Jillian makes her decision: she announces her love for Ansom via a Thinkagram, and proceeds to attack the dwagons. Parson responds by ordering the dwagons and uncroaked Warlords to attack to kill Jillian, but Ansom saves the day by coming to her rescue. The dwagons are wiped out. The leadership of the Royal Crown Coalition now expects to be destroyed by the remaining healthy dwagons from the circle trap. Jillian and Ansom spend the night on his flying carpet, permitting themselves a last moment of joy.

The attack never comes. Stanley has ordered the dwagons elsewhere. Jillian believes she knows where, but will only tell Ansom personally. They meet back at the siege train, and Jillian reveals her history to Ansom. She was popped as an heir to a Side named Faq by King Banhammer. Banhammer had been told that his bubble kingdom -- a kingdom essentially unapproachable except by air or tunnel -- would someday fall. Jillian believes she failed to meet his expectations by being a warrior instead of a philosopher. Since she had no real place in the idyllic little kingdom, she was sent to fight as a mercenary in distant lands with other Faq forces. One day, she received a Thinkagram that suggested dwagons were over Faq, and the next day she was a barbarian. She continued the mercenary lifestyle while trying to learn who might have destroyed Faq. Eventually, she heard rumors about Stanley the Plaid and his dwagons. When she learned about Ansom's coalition, she thought it was an ideal situation -- she could work as a mercenary against the most likely culprit responsible for Faq's destruction, while learning more about the candidate.

Stanley's uncharacteristic move with the dwagons suggested to Jillian that Stanley was headed to restart his Side in Faq. With the knowledge of Faq in hand, Ansom suggested she get to the site of Faq ahead of Stanley and become Queen of her re-started side. Jillian had not even considered that, instead wanting to intercept Stanley and ambush him. Ansom arranges for Vinny, the Archons, and other air forces to accompany her to a location where she can meet up with additional forces from Transylvito.

Jillian made a side trip into Gobwin Knob, instead of going directly to Faq. She intended to use the lack of dwagon defenses to mount a "rescue" of Wanda, whom Jillian believes is being forced to work for Stanley. Wanda declines, and the Archons reveal Wanda is under the effect of no mind-altering Spells, but during this conversation Wanda interrupts by unleashing Gobwin Knob's Air defenses, killing several Unipegataurs and the Archon Jaclyn. Jillian flies off towards Faq with a diminished force.

Charlie is not paid, so the Archons become free agents, leaving Jillian with just her gwiffons, some orlies, Vinny, and a few doombats. The next day they meet up with the forces from Transylvito. Caesar Borgata, the Chief Warlord of Transylvito, has brought nine other Warlords and a few hundred doombats. The forces set up with the doombats in line in front, commanded by Warlords, with Caesar providing a portion of his leadership bonus to all. Stanley arrives and attempts to punch through, throwing aside Caesar and his stack with the Arkenhammer's shocking powers. Jillian moves to intercept, discovering Stanley has brought the Foolamancer Jack Snipe with him. Jack's mind is restored when Jillian calls him by his real name, and Jack's awesome Foolamancy comes into play. He makes Jillian believe that she destroyed Stanley's dwagon, but instead flies off with Stanley towards the hex edge. Jillian spots a doombat stack in a suspicious position, with Vinny confirming it was not a Transylvito stack, and the pair correctly deduce that this is Stanley. It is, however, too late. They are unable to catch Stanley before he leaves the hex, headed back in the direction of Gobwin Knob.

Jillian spends the remainder of the day with the forces of Transylvito. At dusk, around a bonfire, Jillian is informed by Vinny that Caesar did not come here to fight Stanley, since he didn't believe Stanley would come in this direction. Caesar came to check on the cities of Faq, and to claim them for Transylvito if they existed. Jillian becomes angry, not because of the deception, but because she wants to finish off Stanley. Caesar approaches and informs Jillian and Vinny that the Battle for Gobwin Knob is finished, with all Royal Crown Coalition forces eliminated, including Ansom. Jillian, enraged, attacks Caesar, who easily stops the assault. Caesar threatened Jillian, but Vinny stepped in and took charge of the distraught Jillian. They appear to spend the night comforting each other while mourning Ansom.

Jillian was then taken, as a prisoner in all but name, back to Transylvito to an audience with Don King, the royal ruler of Transylvito. There she was offered the resources to reestablish her former capital side, Faq. She reluctantly accepted this offer, but is slowly growing accustomed to the new role.

Speculation
It's possible that the natural Signamancy inherent in being the Queen of Faq will compel Jillian to become more interested in Faqian Philosophy.

Her suit on page 12 of book 2 seems to be rendered in a way similar to the Arkentools. Perhaps it is a tool itself?

Her suit is a reference to the time warp dance in the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Between her and Wanda's clothes, we have a case of strong signamancy foreshadowing the following events.

What does Jillian Really Want, and Why Doesn't She Know It?
According to Jillian's cast page, one of her weaknesses is "Knowing what she wants". It's not uncommon for people in the Real World not to know what they want, but on Erfworld, this is an extraordinarily unusual problem. Almost everyone on Erfworld knows exactly what they want, because they are popped to fulfill a particular role in life, and are bound by the constraints of Loyalty, Obedience and Duty. So why doesn't Jillian know?

Jillian has deeply conflicting desires, because she was popped to fill a role that did not exist, and might never exist. She was created to be the Queen of a peaceful side devoted to philosophy, because that's what Faq was when she was created. But she was also created knowing that the Faq she was created to rule would soon cease to exist. This is why she was so frustrated in Faq. She wanted Faq, but she knew she couldn't have Faq. She channeled that frustration into her fascination with war. Every enemy she struck down was, for that instant, the foe who prevented her from living in peace as the ruler of Faq.

When Faq was destroyed, it was probably almost a relief for Jillian. Though she deeply hated the knowledge that Faq no longer existed, at least the Prediction had been fulfilled, and maybe, someday, she would be able to rebuild Faq. At least she no longer had to live in a Kingdom she knew was doomed. She threw herself even more completely into the role of a Mercenary, hoping she could, somehow, someday, gain the resources needed to rebuild Faq.

She was torn between a desire for companionship and the desire to be alone. She wanted to reach out to others who might help her rebuild Faq, yet she knew that those others had different goals and ambitions, that usually conflicted with the seemingly impossible goal of creating a peaceful bubble Kingdom. Of course she told no one else about Faq during this period, because if any other side had occupied Faq's cities, her task of rebuilding Faq would become vastly harder.

When she learned about Stanley, she hated him like she'd hated no one else in her entire life. This was the man who had taken Faq from her. The fact that he must also know about the location of Faq made him an intolerable risk to Jillian. What if he claimed Faq's cities before she could? He had to die. So she joined the alliance against Gobwin Knob, and in time was torn between the two people she'd come to love, Ansom and Wanda. Jillian was deeply attracted to both of these seemingly very different people, but she had trouble deciding between them. Her ambivalent relationships with both reflected an subconscious uncertainty about which of the two would be more useful to her in rebuilding Faq.

It was only when she knew that Stanley was about to try and take
the site of Faq's cities that she revealed who she really was to Ansom. She probably felt great ambivalence when Ansom suggested she might become the Queen of Faq again, because she knew that the Faq he had in mind was not the philisophical Kingdom of her most secret dreams.
But the important thing right now was stopping Stanley.

With some help from Caesar and Transylvito, Jillian was able to prevent Stanley from reaching Faq.But then, she learned that Caesar planned to claim Faq's cities. Her momentary loss of control, and attempt to kill Caesar, was the result of hearing this horrible news at the same time she heard that Ansom had been croaked.

Being offered the resources needed to rebuild Faq by Don King was in a way both the best and the worst thing that ever happened to Jillian. It meant she had finally become Queen Of Faq, but it also meant that she and Faq were caught in a network of alliances that makes it impossible for Faq to be the sort of philosophical Kingdom it once was. And so Jillian continues to feel great ambivalence, and uncertainly about exactly what it is she wants.

Trivia
*Her name may be a pun on "Jillions of muscles", a epithet suitable for a person relying on brute force and violence to solve problems.

*Her familiarity with and relation to Jack Snipe may be a reference to "Jack and Jill."

*The name Jillian, in combination with the fact that she is a barbarian, may be a reference to the actress formerly known as Jillian Barberie, now Jillian Reynolds.

*Jillian's outfit in Book 2 - Page 12 is very similiar to Columbia's first costume in Rocky Horror Picture Show, a tie in to Wanda's outfit for Book 2.
Predictamancy and causality
The mechanisms of predictamancy have not been described in any detail. Some possible mechanics are:

Self Fulfilling Prophecy
Knowledge of the predictions or predictamancy itself causes the predictions to be true. It could be argued that Wanda only became attuned to the Arkenpliers due to a course of actions based on future knowledge.1

Future event created by prediction
Any use of Predictamancy could "plant" an event somewhere in the future of the targeted creature/item/land. For example, when Wanda was affected by Predictamancy, she was "foretold" to attune herself to an Arkentool, but not which one or when. From that point, events that could cause her to attune had a higher odds of occurring, until the prophecy was fulfilled.

Outside influence
Forces beyond the scope of ordinary cause and effect in Erfworld (For instance the Titans) alter events to reach the predicted state regardless of anybody's knowledge or choices. This mechanism seems highly likely given how Wanda has describe Fate as having a specific destination, but different optional paths to get there.

Foreknowledge
The Predictamancer obtains knowledge of future events by some unspecified means. Any actions taken on this knowledge are known in advance as well, and any influence already accounted for. Thus the act of predicting (or more precisely the act of telling someone a prediction) can change events, but the events leading up to the foreknown event are also foreknown.

First Appearance: IPTSF Text 8 (mentioned), IPTSF Text 12 (in person)

Olive Branch was the Chief Florist of Haffaton at the time Wanda was popped.IPTSF Text 9 She is described as having "long golden hair".IPTSF Text 12

Olive Branch is very proud of her discipline and obsessed with the superiority of the Life element. Haffaton once had a large number of powerful casters that were responsible for a lot of the side's success. In spite of this, Olive Branch caused them all to die from the Heroine buds in order to "prove" the superiority of her own arts.

Delphie Temple met Olive at least once in Magic Kingdom - supposedly to parley and discuss a proposal of peace and alliance from Haffaton.IPTSF Text 9

After Goodminton reclaimed the city of Goodfinger from Haffaton, Wanda found and wore raiment that - according to Delphie - originally belonged to Olive. Delphie claims that there is some Signamancy and even Date-a-mancy between Olive and Wanda, and that their Fates are intertwined.IPTSF Text 9

As of IPTSF Text 51, it's been revealed that Olive had turned the Ruler of Haffaton, Judy Gale, into a flower-addicted puppet and been keeping her in the Olive Garden. This has allowed Olive the freedom to manage the Side however she wishes, and the plausible deniability during parleys of only being the Chief Caster for her side, and not the real power.

Olive was Heir Designate to Judy Gale, Overlady of Haffaton. While she effectively ruled Haffaton, Duty prevented Olive from directly acting against Judy by directly overthrowing her. However, her Loyalty was so low that she was still perfectly willing to leave a unit likely to murder her nearby, namely Jillian, who was Predicted to kill the ruler of Haffaton. To keep her ruler better under her grip and possibly to increase the chance that Judy would be the ruler fated to croak, Olive took away the Arkenshoes her ruler owned, making it difficult for Judy to flee.

Wanda managed to use Findamancy to recover the shoes and return them to Judy. As Judy departed from Erfworld, Olive became the new ruler of Haffaton, which in turn made her the likely subject of Jillian's prediction.

Real World References
"Olive Branch" probably refers to a branch of the olive tree - a symbol of peace or victory from the times of Ancient Greece.

Proposed Canon
A Caster link is made when two or three Casters are joined physically (via holding hands or by a chain, for instance) and mentally through a Thinkamancer in order to create a whole greater than the sum of its parts. The linked Casters can perform Spells far more powerful and complex than any single Caster could consider possible. Casters united in this way are said to be linked.

A Thinkamancer joins with one or two other Casters to create a combined consciousness. The process of creating the link can be aided by each Caster recalling how it felt when it first cast a Spell of its Discipline, which is described as warm, comforting, and familiar.1 The casters then lose their individuality and revert to representing only their Discipline. It is still possible for a Caster to remember its former existence1, but using this knowledge strains and might break the link.1 The link is fragile, and can be broken by merely calling one of the Casters by its name, so the linked Casters are referred to by their Disciplines instead (ie. Thinkamancer, Dirtamancer, Lookamancer, etc.).

Breaking the link can result in damage to the minds of the Casters, but this is similar to the backlash of other Thinkamancy Spells, so a good Thinkamancer can protect herself (or himself) from the damage by forcing the other Casters to bear the brunt.1. Such backlash can lead to severe trauma, including temporary catatonia, insanity, or death. 1

A two Caster link may be dissolved by the Thinkamancer that began the link without harming either Caster. A three Caster link cannot be safely broken without the help of other Thinkamancers.

Such powerful spells as ending another side's turn requires a link-up.
Casters involved
* Charlie
* Vanna
* There may or may not have been a third caster in the link. Bowie? He's a Changemancer and they did change whose turn it is. Also, he's in the magic kingdom where he may have told Janis of the planned link up. This link may have been what Janis meant by "other things" when she said "And this battle will be a turning point. I have some Predictamancy on it, among other things. There will be disarray." If not Bowie, Jeftichew is a likely candidate, as a Carnymancer. The powers of Carnymancy are unknown, but the "production values" of the spell were pretty high, and Carnymancy is likely the most presentational magic around.

Abilities
* Appears to be the first ranged link-up &mdash; i.e. it doesn't require physical contact between casters &mdash; most likely due to the power of the Arkendish. Charlie was unable to broadcast to other Archons during the link, although he did manage to send a terse thinkagram to King Slately when the latter risked breaking the link.
* Forcing a side to end their turn early. This was a surprise to both Jetstone and Gobwin Knob, so it's unlikely regular Turnamancy can do this, even with a master-class caster.
* Vanna states that the spell cost two turns' worth of juice; unless casters can "hold over" juice from preceding turns, this implies that Charlie shared some of the juice cost. This may or may not be a normal function of a caster link.

Circumstances of Dissolution
* Broken by Charlie at the beginning of the Jetstone/Faq/Haggar?/Transylvito? alliance's turn, with no negative effects to Vanna.
Thinkamancer/Luckamancer/Mathamancer
Some sides combine Mathamancy and Luckamancy1. Sizemore explicitly compares the power of the combination to that of the Eyemancer link-up, which inspires some people to believe this a link-up with a Thinkamancer.

Sizemore specifically states "You pair your Mathamancers with some Luckamancers." Both the term pair and the plurals of Mathamancers and Luckamancers (since a 4 caster link is impossible) suggest against a trimancer link.

Abilities
* Targeted Luck: The Mathamancer determines the most important battles and the Luckamancer tilts them in his side's favour.

(Thinkamancer/Thinkamancer)/Multiple others
In theory a two Thinkamancer link up could function as a single, much more powerful, Thinkamancer for the creation of a second link up. This may allow a link up of 'Four' casters, and there by link up featuring a whole school of casting besides Eyemancy, or a 'three' caster link up that could be safely disolved without assistance.

It is also with in the realm of reason that if a linked pair of Thinkamancers can function as a single for such a link, there is no reason multiple of these groups couldn't link together... Maybe this is what the greath minds are thinking alike about.

Fanon

This page is intended to describe potential spells and items created by Casters joined by a Thinkamancer Link-up. As the abiltiies of more Disciplines are revealed, the possible combinations will grow significantly.<br>
<br>
Thinkamancer/Thinkamancer/Thinkamancer/Others
This concept of this combination is that one Thinkamancer can link two more, which allows those two to link together two more Casters each, allowing a combination of five Disciplines instead of three. Although conceptually possible, Linking is described as an ability, not a spell, and as such might not be enhanced by the Link. If Linking devolves the mind to a function, and abilities are learned outside that function or if the suppression of others' individuality requires individuality of your own, then the two Linked Thinkamancers would not have access to this ability. Given the complexity of the Summon Perfect Warlord Spell, it may have required more than three Disciplines to create, and so may have been the result of a Link of this type. Given the danger of unravelling a link of only three Casters, unravelling more than three could not be anything less than suicidally dangerous.
* Another thought is to use a thinkamancer to chain together two other links, treating each chain as a single entity, as is the nature of the linkup. this would, of course, result in a total of seven participants and like mentioned, would be suicidal to separate without entire groups of thinkmancers working together, slowly, to unravel the linkup.
<br>
Potentially, a three thinkamancer link-up could also provide thinkamancy unparalleled outside of the Arkendish. Outright mind control as opposed to suggestion spells. Vastly improved thinkagrams. Stronger resilience of the link between casters, to the level that merely mentioning their names wouldn't kill them.

Thinkamancer/Carnymancer/Predictamancer
* Accurately gauge and cancel a specific fated event.

Thinkamancer/Changemancer/Dittomancer
* Change a unit into a copy of another.

Thinkamancer/Changemancer/Weirdomancer
* Change a unit of one type into a unit of another.

Thinkamancer/Croakamancer/Dirtamancer
* This combination could create Bone and Flesh Golems from corpses unable to be uncroaked.

Thinkamancer/Croakamancer/Dollamancer
* uncroaking cloth golem. Creating flesh golems (with corpses that are already beyond being uncroaked)?

Thinkamancer/Croakamancer/Flower Power
* Give living units zero upkeep in much the same way as Uncroaked and Decrypted.

Thinkamancer/Croakamancer/Healomancer
* Resurrect units croaked within the past turn as long as the body is mostly intact.

Thinkamancer/Croakamancer/Shockmancer
* A Magic Item could direct shock directly to the heart of a unit that died from a failed heart (gas, death of fright, death from sudden cold), restoring it to normal life instead of uncroaking it.

Thinkamancer/Date-a-mancer/Turnamancer
* Thinkamancy and Turnamancy allow units to be turned to a different side, while Date-a-mancy gives insight into a unit's relationships with others. A combination of the three might enable a side to turn units far more efficiently than any one of these casters separately.

Thinkamancer/Dirtamancer/Dollamancer
* Create a "dollhouse", or rather, a city with more automated capabilities.

Thinkamancer/Dirtamancer/Findamancer
* This combination could find enemy Units and then sink them into the very ground they stand on from far beyond the range of any weapon.
* It could also find various objects or areas underground, eg. gems or tunnels.<br>

Thinkamancer/Dirtamancer/Flower Power
* Convert terrain type to a farm.

Thinkamancer/Dirtamancer/Hat Magician
* Create a portal.

Thinkamancer/Dirtamancer/Moneymancer
* Upgrade cities at a greatly reduced cost without the casters being physically present in the cities. This link-up could be very cost-effective to a side that has many low-level cities.
* Finding mines or other sources of gems. Making mines more productive (finding more gems, 'upgrading' gems to be worth more).
* Modifying a terrain type to allow a city or vice versa.

Thinkamancer/Dirtamancer/Shockmancer
* This combination could create a Lodestone -- a natural magnet -- which could be used to point to magnetic north for navigation, or if made much more powerful, affix metal-clad Units in place or rip the metal weapons from the hands of troops.
* Create a lightning rode to protect a city from shockamancy attacks.

Thinkamancer/Dittomancer/Moneymancer
* Use up juice to double some number of shmuckers.
* Create a purse-like Magic Item that refills every turn as long as one shmucker is left inside.

Thinkamancer/Dittomancer/Turnamancer
* Give a side multiple turns in a row.
* Could be used to massively increase rate of production, which could very well make Parson Gotti's idea for a side with zero upkeep plausible.
* Replicate enemy units when these pop they are friendly's, this could be used to disrupt an enemy in attack and defensive actions allowing for friendly troops to appear in the middle of a engagement. Clearly, the copied units would all have goatees. (see Evil Twin on Tvtropes )

Thinkamancer/Dollamancer/Healomancer
Create golems that can heal golems and non-golem units.

Thinkamancer/Dollamancer/Foolamancer
Creating raiment with built in Foolamancy, such as camouflage or invisibility.

Thinkamancer/Flower Power
* Create an Erfworld equivelant to coffee, effectively producing a ration that can apply the effect of the Thinkamancy spell that acts as a stimulant.

Thinkamancer/Flower Power/Healomancer
* Create medicinal drugs that can be used to heal units.

Thinkamancer/Flower Power/Moneymancer
* Create "cash crops" so that schmuckers can be harvested in place of rations.

Thinkamancer/Luckamancer/Moneymancer
* Spend schmuckers to produce more good luck for the side.

Thinkamancer/Mathamancer/Predictamancer
Thinkamancy is one of the three disciplines of the Magic class Eyemancy ; it is aligned with the axis of Fate and composed of the two elements of Life and Motion.1

Proposed Canon
Spells of this Discipline normally involve influencing the mind or actions of a target.

All known Thinkamancers are part of a secret conspiracy, lead by the Great Minds that Think Alike, which works to conceal the full extent of their powers from everyone who is not a Thinkamancer. They are opposed to Charlie, who has learned many of their secrets through his attunement to the Arkendish.

Thinkamancy is derived from the observation and alteration of the Cosmic Vibrations of Grandiocosmic Strings. These vibrations cannot penetrate polarized Stuff, such as that which the Temple of the Thinkamancers is made from.

Known Thinkamancers
*Modify a unit's loyalty.
*Merging the minds of casters together into a "psychological alloy" or gestalt with the Thinkamancer, allowing the casting of Spells uncastable by singular Casters1
*Protecting oneself from the effects of breaking a long term mind-affecting spell
*Can increase the efficiency of a Unit's thought processes. 1.
*Can use minor combat/stunning spells. 1
*Don King can use his thinkamancer to see through bat units' eyes across an indefinite distance. This is apparently a stronger version of the natural Thinkamancy version.
*Maggie is shown wearing a necklace with a yellow triangle around an eye. LIAB_58:11 It is not clear if this is a symbol of being a Thinkamancer or a member of group of Great Minds that Think Alike. It is possible the necklace enhances her ability to do Thinkamancy.

Ranks
Adept
apparently a step above a beginner at Thinkamancy

Mastermind
one of the ranks of Thinkamancy as mentioned in Book 2, Text Update 013 LIAB Text 13
Headmaster
possibly one of the higher level Thinkamancy ranks, but there is some thought that it signifies membership in the Great Minds that Think Alike. See Book 2, Text Update 040. LIAB Text 40

Arkendish
The Arkendish gives its user superior powers in Thinkamancy. 1

Natural Thinkamancy
Natural Thinkamancy is innate magic. Many mechanics in Erfworld relate to this magic. One example is scout units sending back intelligence.1

This magic is also important for the functioning of a Ruler.
Proposed Canon
To units using only Natural Thinkamancy, it appears to be the magic of the mind, however, Thinkamancers have stated it is the magic of the observation and alteration of the Cosmic Vibrations of Grandiocosmic Strings. Natural Thinkamancy allows these vibrations to be altered and detected by the mind, much like sound waves are detected by hearing and altered by speaking. The effects of this Discipline affect thoughts and attitudes. Natural Thinkamancy is Thinkamancy that is performed without the casting of a spell. There are two basic types of Natural Thinkamancy.

The first type of Natural Thinkamancy is a variety of Natural Ability. Natural Abilities that affect the mind are considered Natural Thinkamancies. The ability of Vinny's doombats to show him what they are seeing1 is an example of this type of natural Thinkamancy. Maggie indicated experienced Warlords can use natural thinkamancy to telepathically convey battle orders to units on the field. Isaac noted that the intent of a commander in issuing an order to a non-speaking unit is a form of Natural Thinkamancy. Isaac also noted a Ruler in issuing an order to a remote field unit also was one of forms of natural Thinkamancy. LIAB Text 40

The second type of Natural Thinkamancy is a group of magical effects that are inherent to Units in the Erfworld universe. These Natural Thinkamancies are not spells, but instead are constantly-active effects.1 The more pervasive type of Natural Thinkamancy, common to all units, is a set of compulsions that ensure the people of Erfworld perform their duties without disrupting the world with too much overt backstabbing. These compulsions are Obedience, Loyalty, and Duty. The effects can often be very subtle. A Unit influenced by a Natural Thinkamancy will think that all its thoughts are its own, since they are presented to the Unit with ideas behind them. There are many more Natural Thinkamancies besides these three.

Obedience
Obedience forces Units to obey orders. Disobeying orders is possible under limited circumstances. The disobedient unit must believe the order goes against higher orders, or the Ruler's best interest.

Loyalty
Loyalty is a hidden stat -- no Warlord can see it. Loyalty determines whether a Unit desires to serve the current Ruler. This determines how likely a Unit is to defect or switch Sides, or betray the Ruler. Captured Units have notoriously low Loyalty to their new Side, and so are often compelled via Thinkamancy Spells to become loyal to the new Ruler.

There are one known and one suspected case of betrayal by Units. In the known case, Wanda betrayed Faq to Stanley the Plaid, although she believed that Stanley would lose. In the suspected case, Stanley may have betrayed King Saline IV by instigating a Gobwin attack while Stanley was away with all the side's casters and at least some of its dwagons. In both cases, an Arkentool was involved in some way. Wanda believed that she would gain the Arkenhammer as a result of her action (in which case her "betrayal" might have been a net benefit to her side). Stanley had attuned to the Arkenhammer well before his betrayal.

Duty
Duty affects only Units with the Leadership or Caster Natural Abilities. Duty forces these Units to act in favor of the Ruler without specific orders on what the Ruler wants done. For instance, a Warlord that discovered a Stack slacking off would be compelled to force the Units back to work.

Speculation
The fact that the Arkentools have involvement with betrayal suggests that the "higher power" referenced in Obedience may include other than worldly creatures. Stanley, for instance, believes he has a destiny forged by the Titans, and the belief that he is being guided by the Titans permitted Stanley to become disobedient. Wanda believes that she is being manipulated by Fate, and so was permitted to betray her Ruler, since she felt that Fate was a higher power than her Ruler.

Pledge
A Pledge is a solemn vow given by a Unit to do or refuse to do some specified actions. A Pledge is much harder to break than a simple promise.2009

Speculation
More thinkamancers have been shown than any other type of caster. Some have speculated this may indicate they have the highest probability of being popped randomly amongst the casters or some method is used to try and increase the chance. The latter would fit in with the suggestion that overlords or rulers can subconsciously control when and what sort of casters are popped. The former fits with the idea in Erf that the Titans select casters for sides and the long range communication ability makes them very valuable for most sides.

Potentially, a Thinkamancer working with a Hat Magician or Dollamancer, or maybe linked up with them, could create polarized helmets that would negate many thinkamantic effects. These would quite possibly be made of tinfoil...

Real World References
One Thinkamancy Spell - Ephedra - apparently alleviates fatigue or works as a stimulant.1 This is a reference to the herbal stimulant Ephedra which contains both ephedrine and pseudoephedrine.

Speculation
The Great Minds that Think Alike appear to reside in the Temple of the Thinkamancers, which is a location in the Magic Kingdom. This suggests that the members are all Barbarian casters. It could be that all Barbarian Thinkamancers are members of the Great Minds that Think Alike but it's much more probable that they are a select group made up of either the most powerful Masterminds or a group elected by their Thinkamancer peers.

It's possible that the Great Minds that Think Alike are a group of linked Thinkamancers who direct all other thinkamancers through the G-strings. They could reside deep within the temple and relay information to the others as needed.

The eye in the pyramid, also known as the Eye of Providence, has been seen on some of the devices in Isaac's playground as well as on a necklace Maggie wears. This could mean it is an icon associated with Thinkamancy as a discipline, or it might be a symbol of the Great Minds that Think Alike.

Real World References
"Great minds think alike" is a proverb used to emphasize or describe two people coming to the same conclusion. It is sometimes followed by the line "but fools seldom differ".

The Eye in the Pyramid has long been associated with secret societies and conspiracies, most notably the Freemasons and the Illuminati. It is also found in mysticism, as representing the third eye or mind's eye,

174.21.159.118:

Fanon

This page is intended to describe potential spells and items created by Casters joined by a Thinkamancer Link-up. As the abiltiies of more Disciplines are revealed, the possible combinations will grow significantly.<br>
<br>
<br>

* Convert a unit of one type into a unit of another.

* Create a portal.

Thinkamancer/Flower Power/Healomancer
* Create medicinal drugs that can be used to heal units.

Thinkamancer/Flower Power/Moneymancer
* Create "cash crops" so that schmuckers can be harvested in place of rations.

Thinkamancer/Mathamancer/Predictamancer
* Mathamancy seems to be based on predicting the general likelyhood of an event, while Predictamancy seems to be based on peering into the Titans' great plan. It has been suggested that not everything is predetermined and a prophecy can be fulfilled in multiple ways.
This page is intended to describe potential spells and items created by Casters joined by a Thinkamancer Link-up. As the abiltiies of more Disciplines are revealed, the possible combinations will grow significantly.<br>
<br>
<br>

Thinkamancer/Changemancy/Weirdomancer
* Convert a unit of one type into a unit of another.

A combination of the two might be able to accurately determine the optimal path to achieve a prediction.

Golems are magically animated Units. Frequently they are humanoid, but this is not a requirement. If a golem is destroyed, the remains can still be salvaged by a caster of the appropriate discipline.

Cloth Golems
}}
First Appearance: TBFGK 10

Cloth Golems are golems that have the appearance of large stuffed animals, down to being filled with stuffing. They are Heavy units. They are created by, healed by, and receive bonuses from Dollamancers. They include several types, including Battle Bears, G-RAFs, LFNs, and tankeroos.
Holly Shortcake was well known as a Dollamancer who created many cloth golems.

Known Users
*Jetstone
*Charlescomm
*Transylvito
*Haffaton

Battle Bears
Battle Bears have the additional ability of carrying and throwing large boulders, at their opponents or to damage walls. They served as siege units used in the Royal Crown Coalition and helped breach the Outer Walls of Gobwin Knob.

Tankeroos
Tankeroos are mounts that look like aggressive toy kangaroos and carry their riders in their pouches.

LFN
LFNs are mounts that look like toy elephants and have the mass to crush smaller opponents.

G-RAF
G-RAFs look like toy giraffes. It is unclear what special abilities they possess, other than the obvious advantage of height to look over the battlespace.

Dirtamantic Golems
Dirtamantic Golems are created by Dirtamancers out of various earthen materials - stones, rocks, metal, and, erm, "soil," or Crap. They can be healed by and receive bonuses from Dirtamancers. Known types include Crap, Metal, and Rock (Soft, Hard, and Acid).

Crap Golem
'If life gives you crap, make crap golems' - Sizemore Rockwell <br>

First Appearance: TBFGK 53

This is a mass of crap animated by the might of Dirtamancy. By using shockamancy (possibly to detonate latent methane), they may detonate in a violent explosion. In-comic, this was trigger by having it's finger pulled by a Dirtamancer.
When one crap golem exploded, its sound effect was a well known imageboard. 1

Gobwin Knob had 19 of these on day 5. 1

}}

Metal Golem
First Appearance: TBFGK 79a

A golem, made of metal looking like a "heavy metal" musician. Most likely the most powerful Dirtamancy Golem introduced thus far, Gobwin Knob had one of these, according to Parson's Stupid Meal on day 5. 1.

Tin Golem
A Metal Golem variant used by Haffaton. Possibly unique.

|{{ImageStackRight|150|

Acid Rock Golem
First Appearance: TBFGK 79a

Made of stone, looking like a "Disco" or "Psychedelic" era musician when people frequently went on LSD or "Acid" trips. It also has psychedelic patterns running through it. Gobwin Knob had two of these on day 5. 1.

|-
|{{ImageStackRight|150|

Hard Rock Golem
First Appearance: TBFGK 79a(Klog)/TBFGK 87

Made of stone in the shape of a Rock Musician. Gobwin Knob had four of these1 on day 5 1, presumably shown croaking marbits in the first Tunnel attack1.

Soft Rock Golem
First Appearance: TBFGK 79a(Klog)/TBFGK 122

Similar to a hard rock golem, but presumably less powerful. It looks like artists from the famous band the Beatles, who were known for relatively "soft" rock. Gobwin Knob had nine of these on day 5. 1.

|}

Hat Magic Golems
Snow Golem
First Appearance: IPTSF Text 19

Made by Wanda on the return trip to Haffaton. It was made of only three large balls of snow, with sticks for arms and small black rocks for features.

Speculation
It should be noted that the Tin Golem used by Haffaton was given Life by Barton, a Dollamancer. Due to the unique nature of its construction, it could be a Dirtamancy golem, akin to Metal Golems, but it could also be a Dollamancy construct, possibly like a robot or similar automaton.

Other Possible Golem Types
There are several units that have not been explicitly been called "golems," but share many of the same characteristics of golems. Scarecrows, Molls, and Dolls are all non-living units that are animated by magic. First Intermission 13 However, it is not clear whether they are truly golems, which are created and designed by their caster, or if they fall more properly in the broader category of non-living units that use existing material (like uncroaked units which, while non-living and animated, use the corpses of the croaked as their medium).

Tchotchkes may be golems or may be separate class of unit.

It may be possible to create as yet unseen types of Golems from material such as wood or flesh.

Real World References
The names of the different types of Rock Golems (including Metal Golems) are references to genres of Rock 'n Roll music. Furthermore, the physical shape of each type of golem is reminiscent of the type of music they represent. For instance, in the case of the Soft Rock Golem shown above, the image looks strikingly similar to soft rocker Paul Simon circa 1968. Similarly, four (presumed) Hard Rock Golems shown croaking a stack of marbit bear a striking resemblance to theme-rock band KISS.1 One of the other golems (possibly metal?) was stylized after the Comedian from the graphic novel The Watchmen.

Of the depicted Crap Golems, one is clearly identifiable as a dinosaur, one is a dalek from the television show Doctor Who and another resembles the titular character of the Schlock Mercenary webcomic.

The Snow Golem is a reference to Frosty the Snowman.

The idea of a golem can be traced, through various role-playing game incarnations, to Jewish folktales and folklore describing animated creatures made from dust.
