==Proposed Canon==
The Kingdom of Faq was a [[Capital Side]] in [[Erfworld]]. It has been destroyed.

Faq consisted of a [[Capital]] of the same name and two subordinate cities. It was surrounded with mountains on all sides and accessible only by air and tunnel.{{erf|1|082}}

[[King Banhammer]] was the last [[Ruler]] of Faq prior to its fall. [[Jillian Zamussels]] was his [[lineage|daughter]] and a [[heir]] to the throne.

===Mercenary Work===

Although the kingdom had mines and farms it also sent its [[unit|units]] to do [[mercenary]] work to supplement the treasury.{{erf|1|082}} [[Jillian]] assumed command over these mercenaries after she had problems with [[King Banhammer]]. Her employment as a mercenary provided her with combat experience that helped her reach a relatively high level. This left her in the field when [[Wanda]] conspired with [[Stanley]] to attack [[Faq]], and subsequently left her with all the mercenaries as a [[Barbarian]] force. Jillian remains the only known former Faq Unit that is not working for [[Stanley the Tool]].

===Reliance on Magic===

[[King Banhammer]] relied heavily on the use of [[magic]] and had multiple [[Caster|Casters]], including a [[Predictamancy|Predictamancer]]{{erf|1|082}}, a [[Croakamancer]] ([[Wanda Firebaugh]]), and a [[Foolamancy|Foolamancer]] ([[Jack Snipe]]){{erf|1|107}}.

[[King Banhammer]] sought a peaceful, non-violent existence for his Kingdom, and so avoided combat that put his nation at risk. When enemy [[unit|units]] appeared nearby (usually passing through his territory unaware a nation existed there), the [[Predictamancer]] was able to lay out the route the force would follow, allowing [[Jack Snipe|Jack]] to [[Veil]] one [[City]] at a time; thus, he managed to keep the location of Faq hidden until [[Wanda Firebaugh|Wanda's]] betrayal destroyed the [[side]].

===Fall of Faq===

The [[Predictamancy|Predictamancer]] foretold the eventual fall of the kingdom of Faq. This led [[King Banhammer]] to order an [[heir]] popped: that Unit was [[Jillian Zamussels]]. The two failed to get along, and so Jillian took service leading [[Faq]]'s mercenaries far from the Kingdom.

[[Wanda]] had been given a second [[Predictamancy|Prediction]]: she would one day attune to an [[Arkentool]]. This would lead her to desperate measures in finding her destiny. She eventually learned of [[Stanley the Plaid]], a [[Warlord]] in the service of [[King Saline IV]] at the time, who had attuned to the [[Arkenhammer]]. Thinking to take this [[Arkentool]] from him, she conspired with Stanley to bring him to Faq. Her intent was to see Stanley die in the attack on her side. She had over-estimated Faq's defenses, and so Stanley succeeded in destroying and pillaging Faq, ending the side.

The mercenaries, including [[Jillian]], became [[Barbarians]] as a result of the loss of their [[side]] and continued their lives as they had been living, but seeking information on their homeland whenever possible. Jillian is the only [[Men|human]] [[unit]] known to survive this lifestyle, but she is not yet aware of [[Wanda]]'s part in the destruction of Faq. Jillian is the only known Faq [[unit]] that is not working for [[Stanley the Tool]].

===Location===

Faq is located in the vicinity of the Kingdom of [[Transylvito]]. [[Transylvito]] [[unit]]s passed by Faq (although not seeing it) periodically.{{erf|1|138}} It is located deep within the High Mountains, nearly impassible except for fliers and tunnelers.{{erf|1|099}}

It is northeast of [[Carport]] of the [[Carpudlians]] [[side]].

==Speculation==
In the future, Faq might be restored. If [[Jillian]] were to reclaim her [[Capital]], she might be able to restore the [[Side]].

At the time of this writing (Summer Update 9), it is more likely that [[Transylvito]] will claim the [[City|Cities]] of Faq, unaware that [[Stanley the Tool]] has restored [[Gobwin Knob]] and has an army of fliers that includes [[Dwagons]] and [[Archons]] that could threaten it. [[Transylvito]] has already been attacked by Stanley, and he is aware of the location of Faq, which may make these two sides opponents in the near future. Since [[Transylvito Vampire]]s fly and their main [[Unit]]s are legions of flying [[Doombats]], the carnage will be significant.

==Real World References==
The name is a pun on [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FAQ FAQ]. There are a lot of frequently asked questions about Faq; fortunately, there have been many answers, or the name wouldn't work out too well. Faq is also a pun on "The Eternal Questions," such as 'Who am I?', 'What do I want?', 'What is my purpose for being?', 'Is there an afterlife?', 'What is my role in society?', etc.

:On the one hand, "in flames" fits the rules of standard English better, and is more accurate. On the other hand, "die in a fire" is a colloquialism and relatively common phrase among some geeks -- one can google for examples. ==Chronology Of Days (Days 2-3)==
The Descriptive Table Of Contents gives pages 9-36 as Day 2. The database for the TBFGK annotation pages gives pages 9-10 (Jillian taking off and hitting the troll's stack) as Day 2 (RCC turn) and pages 11-36 as Day 3 (starting with GK turn at pages 11-33, RCC turn at page 34, and Night at pages 35-36). ===Plot===
Before the story started, Stanley started out as a piker-class infantry under the command of [[King Saline IV]] of the Plaid. Eventually, Stanley was promoted to a warlord by Saline, and he found the [[Arkenhammer]], tamed [[Dwagons]], and was eventually promoted to the Heir Designate of Saline.

At one point, Stanley took a number of the Plaid's casters, [[Sizemore Rockwell]] among them, on a special mission of undisclosed parameters; when Stanley's group returned to Gobwin Knob, they found that it had fallen to a coup d’état from the gobwins breaking their alliance. With the dwagons, casters, and the bonus from the Arkenhammer, Stanley easily retook the city and became the Overlord of the Plaid.

Parson is first seen on [http://www.giantitp.com/comics/erf0014.html page 14], where he went through a normal day, then, presumably later that evening, he was discussing marshmallow peeps with one of his, unnamed, friends. Within a few moments, after the arrival of three other friends (two unnamed, one named Ashna), as Parson was introducing them to his game, he was transported to [[Gobwin Knob]]; which bears a strong resemblance to the set up game board.

Upon arrival, Parson was "greeted" by Stanley and Wanda; and quickly discovered Erfworld's [[Boop|censorship]]. After an exchange of questions, and Parson explaining some strategy to Stanley, he was made the official Chief Warlord under Stanley.

*Parson is named after his grandfather: whether this is his matrilineal or patrilineal grandfather is unknown.

*Parson's name (sans full middle name) is an anagram of "protagonist".

Bogroll is, to all appearances, a simple follower. At his first appearance, he was about to become the (literal) target of a prank by one of the other henchmen. [[Wanda Firebaugh|Wanda]]'s desire to get "as far away from you as possible" when she encounters him holding a target-patterned parasol suggests that this is a recurring pattern.

After being promoted to lackey, he made a suit of armor for Parson and otherwise served him loyally. Parson, in contrast to the other characters, treated Bogroll with respect, something which may have influenced and inspired Bogroll's infatuation and fierce loyalty towards Parson. So much so, that he is currently deceased, KIA in service to Parson.
