I reckon we need more Bureaucrats and I'd put Miment down as the first in line for position as one. Beyond that, there should be another group created which can delete pages and give, at least, temporary banishments to Ip addresses and regular users. Maybe even edit protected pages.
Proposed Canon
A Side is a group of characters and Units involved in the conflict in Erfworld and is led by a single Ruler, which is a King or Queen if the Unit is Royal, or an Overlord if not. The Side includes all Units, cities, and terrain under the leadership of that Ruler.

There is a distinction between capital sides and other sides1.

Capital sides
Capital sides (as the name implies) have capitals and are governed by a Ruler. A capital side can also own cities other than the capital. If the Ruler of a city is a Royal, the city may produce Noble and Royal Units. Royal sides sometimes split off into new sides.1
* Unaroyal (self destructed to prevent further decryption by Gobwin Knob) 2009

Other sides
Non-capital sides (also referred to as natural allies) have no capital, no cities, no royals.1 They do, however, have their own treasuries and can form long semi-permanent alliances. If there is a way for Natural Allies to become a Capital Side, it has not been stated in the comic.

Known natural allies Sides:
* Daemons
** Altruist Elves (used to be natural allies to Jetstone)
** Eager Elves
* Witches
** Sand Witches (natural allies to Dagwood)
** Man Witches (natural allies to Dagwood)

Barbarians
It does not seem that Barbarians are a single side; rather, "Barbarian" is a catch all term used to describe Units without a side or neutral cities without a Ruler. If Rulers or their Heirs lose their capital they become Barbarians. All of the permanent inhabitants of the Magic Kingdom are Barbarian Casters.

Barbarians have to rely on either farming, hunting, or mercenary work to pay upkeep of their Units. They can form alliances with capital sides.
I know some of you want to go back and shange that to four, because of Klog 4, but Klog 10 specifically stats that Loyalty is a stat as well, so that makes at least five, and so Parson's original knowledge was incomplete and unusable. Remember that Parson does not get all of his info at once. He first got told about the basic 4, because the effect of Level is constant. A Unit will show its current stat, not it's original stat, and so that it is L3 with Move 9 doesn't matter... only Move 9 matters. The original unit had Move 6, and 3 levels increased the Move, but that's not important to the man fighting the Unit with Move 9.

Statistics are just numbers with meaning. That makes any number with meaning to a Unit a statistic. Level, Experience, Leadership, etc. are all statistics.
--Kreistor 19:56, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

Leadership
I find the phrase "A Unit with Leadership confers a bonus to units under their command, if of Warlord level or higher (not Commanders)" unclear and misleading. What is clear is:
* Warlords and Casters are Commanders (they can lead unit stacks)
* Units with Leadership abilities (Warlords) confer a bonus to units under their command
* Not all Commanders have Leadership (Warlords do and Casters do not)
Therefore I changed the phrase to "A Unit with Leadership confers a bonus to units under their command". Clear and concise. -- Muzzafar 07:55, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
::For similar reasons, I changed the comment that "units with Leadership" can see stats -- casters don't have Leadership but can see stats.SteveMB 11:59, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
:::I want a much bigger change, but I'm refraining from jumping in there myself. Several of the abilities listed I believe all Commanders (Casters and Warlords) have. However, only Warlords have the Leadership ability, so anything a Caster can do must be removed. IE - we know all Commanders are affected by Duty, and Warlords have a higher effect, and Chief Warlords higher still. Since Casters are Commanders (and can lead units) but don't have leadership, this ability should be removed. Likewise leading units. Seeing stats - I assume Casters can see stats. Is this proven? Wanda knew Ansom was still level 10, so I guess so. Yeah, all that stuff needs to go. Leadership, as far as I can tell, only covers the combat bonus supplied. If anybody disagrees with this, lemme hear it.CIHN July 30
::::"As you can see, he is still Level 10." Yes, Casters can see stats. In fact, so far, the only thing a Caster cannot do that Leadership xan is provide a general LEadership bonus. Casters may not have "Leadership", but "Caster" inscludes all of the functions that Leadership does. So it's really quite moot that they don't have the Leadership Special: they can do anything a Warlord can. --Kreistor 05:24, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
:::::...right. So we don't need to be attributing all those things Casters can do to the Leadership ability. Which is what I was talking about. Also, it's been noted that when Parson saw stats, it never included Level. So the ability to know level might not be the same as seeing stats. Though that doesn't mean Casters can't. Anyway. Yeah, so is there any reason not to change the Leadership entry to just saying "provides a bonus to the units in the Warlord's stack?"CIHN Oh, wait. I see what you mean. Yeah, it's redundant, but okay. In my mind all those abilities are just part of being a Commander, and Leadership = bonus and Caster = spells, but in the absence of a Commander natural ability, if you don't want to just treat those capabilities as being part of being a Commander (like following orders, fighting, and moving are part of being a Unit), then applying them separately to both abilities is the best solution. I'll bite.CIHN
Recent LOaD Edit
So, an IP swooped in and added Obedience and Duty as unit stats. I don't think that's right. I'd peg them as mechanics, myself, since only Loyalty is dependent on a hidden variable - obedience is a static rule, and duty is dependent on rank. Should I revert the change? Menlo Marseilles 08:24, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
:Apparently 88.148.236.150 agrees with your analysis, as they have reverted the change on their own. If only all IP addresses were as condsiderate and prolific as 88.148.236.150. Kiitos! (apparently this IP is in Finland) ;-) --MisterB777 17:14, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Other
This is just a small thing, but when vinnie is talking about 'transylvito style' he says the bats in Bagota (Ceseare) stack is as good as advanced infantry. Is this an actual type? Or merely Vinnies nickname for them? Xewleer
<br>
:Don't know, yet. Advanced may just mean "high level". "Light" and "heavy" are definitely Natural Abilities. --Kreistor 21:55, 20 May 2009 (UTC)

::Actually, I suspect that "Leadership" as well as the other bonuses of the system are applied directly to the unit's level statistic, as a sort of "Temporary Level Bump". Sure, if you looked at them their level would still only say 3 (Or whatever), but their effective level could be 10 or even 27, depending on the circumstances. So bonuses on top of bonuses could turn low-level Doombats, a relatively weak unit type, into unstoppable croaking machines. Cjc7988 00:01, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

Unit Points
Is anyone going to protest if I move out the SStatistics section and call it by the proper name -- "Unit Points"? Stanley uses that term a few times. --Kreistor 21:57, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
:Where does he say this? I don't doubt you, but I don't remember ever reading it and I'd like to see the context. Commander I. Heartly Noah
:: Page 40. Somewhere else, too. --Kreistor 03:55, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
:::Hm. Stanley says he can't see his "points" and that Parson doesn't know about "unit points." Parson later mentions "Movement points." So in Parson's example, it's clearly the temporary number he's referencing. In the first example, he probably means the blue box of stats; the second is ambiguous; it could be referring to any measurable quantity. But, unless Stanley meant he couldn't see Parson's movement points or other temporary quantity, it's probably safe to say that "points" or "unit points" mean the main stats that commanders can see. No complaints here.-- Commander I. Heartly Noah
Henchman, Lackey and Bodyguard
I was trying add "class" Bogroll and Mung's stat boxes and realized that we don't really treat garrison classes/honorifics like "Henchman," "Lackey," or "Bodyguard" in the Units page. Are these being considered as not legitimate classes, or does it make sense to add them under speculation? --MisterB777 00:23, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

Hobgobwins may be significantly better fighters and knights than Men are, which would explain why the Knights in Stanley's Service are all Hobgobwins.
Cubbins is a Hat magician in the service of Jetstone.

He is a slight man with hair flipping out into wings on both sides, a baseball cap, collared short-sleeved shirt, and pointy elf shoes.

He is friends with Ace Hardware, thanks to his help providing Ace with materials for his accessories.

Cubbins has demonstrated his ability to do small object conjuration (pulling things from a hat).

Cubbins was held in reserve at Spacerock when three other casters were issued to Ossomer to defend the hex on his side of the Expository Bridge.

Speculation
Cubbins may have no practical combat abilities or spells.

Cubbins is likely also responsible for the magic hats Jetstone uses for communication.

Real World References
Cubbins is a reference to Bartholomew Cubbins, a character of Dr Seuss's creation. The character met his king, and removed his hat in respect. Another one appeared on his head. The king, mindful of this disrespect, tried to have his hat removed, and eventually, tried to execute him. The executioner couldn't kill him as it was a rule you had to remove your hat. He kept removing them, new ones appearing on his head. After the 451st one, they started to become more beautiful and gilded, till he reached the 500th one. It was so beautiful that the king merely bought his hat for 500 golden coins rather than throwing him off a tall tower.

Charles: Reverted edits by 200.101.82.216 (talk) to last revision by 194.29.137.8

Arkentools
There are three known Arkentools: The Arkenhammer, Arkendish, and Arkenpliers. Four Arkentools are said to exist. Each Arkentools are reported by many Sides to have originated as a tool of the Titans, divine Elvis like beings who originally created Erfworld presumably using Arkentools. Whether the Arkentools were left on purpose or by accident by the Titans is unknown, however, Toolists believe the Titans left them on purpose. Both the origins of the Arkentools and the Titan themselves are reported as if from legend. There are no known first hand accounts or documents of the legends.
Attunement
It appears that individuals may attune to a given Arkentool and unleash latent Titanic powers. In this sense, attunement means that upon physical contact between the Arkentool and the individual Titanic abilities are unleashed that would otherwise be latent. It is unknown if different individuals upon attunement to a given arkentool release different Titanic powers or if multiple individuals can even attune to the same Arkentool, though to date it appears only one individual is ever attuned to a given Arkentool at one time.

Attunement itself is noted as extremely rare and not easily predicted, but such predictions as an aspect of Fate axiomatic Predictamancy are possible as in the case of the Arkenpliers and Wanda Firebaugh. It appears that either the Titanic powers unleashed by attunement may be an amalgam of the attuned person's personality/powers and the Arkentool or that only a person predisposed to a required personality and powers would be able to attune to a given Arkentool. (See Toolist below for third Theory). Arkentools can be used by those un-attuned to them for superior but relatively mundane purposes without Titanic powers. The mundane powers appear to also be related to the Titanic powers as such was the case of Prince Ansom and the Arkenpliers as he could destroy Uncroaked units with them, but Wanda Firebaugh, a Naughtymancer was able to unleash Titanic Uncroaked powers with the Arkenpliers upon attunement.

Toolists and Fate Perspective on Arkentools
Some individuals, notably Stanley the Plaid, ascribe to a belief in Toolism. That the Arkentools represent the will of the Titans themselves. As such, the claim attunement to an Arkentool surpasses Royalty in declaring a legitimate right to rule. Others, notably Wanda Firebaugh, see the Arkentools as players aligned to timeless Fate itself with attunement and the Arkentools as simply players in Fate.

The Arkenhammer
..

The Arkenhammer is currently attuned to and held by Stanley the Plaid, Overlord of the side Gobwin Knob. Stanley is attuned to the Arkenhammer and thus can cause it to express certain Titanic abilities that would otherwise be latent. The Arkenhammer can be used to
*"Rock Out". Rock music being the highest form of music on Erfworld, per Stanley, the Arkenhammer in his hands can be used as a faux guitar and cause a full heavy metal rock music sound to be created at tremendously loud volumes. Rocking Out may convey combat advantages and perhaps be used in Dance Fighting as well.
*Transmute walnuts into pigeons, (and Orlies into walnuts)
*Command Dwagons
*Turn Dwagons to the owner's Side

The Arkendish
..

The Arkendish is currently attuned to and held by Charlie, Overlord of Charlescomm. Unlike the other Arkentools, the Arkendish does not appear portable and appears to be installed in the Capital City of Charlescomm. Most the specific Titanic powers granted to the amalgam attunement of Charlie and the Arkendish are unknown, however, it is known they they allow Charlie Titanic Thinkamancy powers or powers to work with Grandiocosmic Strings that mimic Thinkamancy. This has allowed Charlie to be the "telecom giant of Erfworld" and this is the main thing Charlie used the Arkendish for http://www.erfworld.com/2009/10/summer-updates-%E2%80%93-046/ These powers are so great they even threaten the Thinkamancy organization of Great Minds That Think Alike.http://www.erfworld.com/book-2-archive/?px=/2011-01-07.png Part of the reason that the actual powers of Charlie and the Arkendish are not known is that some of Charlescomm abilities may stem from Archon Thinkamancy abilities or Charlie's own abilities inferred to be a benefit stemming from the Arkendish and Charlie has never confirmed any of this.

Red links annoy me.
Spam accounts are, so far as I can tell, pseudo-usernames between 6 and 8 characters in length that are, at least for the 3800+ we have registered, purely alphabetical (No numbers or spaces or other stuff). Tommy was indeed obviously an actual person. Also, thanks for today. I did 16 hours yesterday out of sheer boredom. Hey, thanks for moving those spammers to the banned category. I'd have done it myself when I banned them, but I'm still learning how to do a wiki proper. -Mal
:De nada. In all honesty, I'm not sure how much use that is. I suppose it might help if you ever get around to wading through all those in :Category:Spammer. OTOH, at some point there might be some benefit to simply deleting all those "yeah, another banned account" talk pages. Still, it gives non-admin spam hunters something to do. =) Abb3w 23:52, 20 May 2011 (UTC)
Whats needed with the Erfworld copyrights page? History showed it was nothing but spam from the beginning. --Charles 02:45, 23 May 2011 (EDT)

Yeah, I suspected they might just be randomising the misspelling rather than making it consistent. Obviously to avoid blacklists picking them up. What I could possibly do is start blocking some of the correctly spelled expressions such as "that's the best" and "you've got the" but I'd be worried if those expressions might appear naturally in a page at some point.
The worst thing is that what these bots are doing isn't even intended for a Wiki attack, its for a forum. What they generally do is setup accounts to make rubbish posts like this that are seemingly innocent, then they come back some days later and edit the posts to insert spam links so the MODS don't see it since the post has long since dropped out of sight and mind.
Maybe this is just a purely malicious attack because we've blacklisted their sites and stopped their working SPAM.
At least we know they're using some of the same IP addresses, so hopefully the IP banning will slow it down a little as well, but obviously they have a far larger IP range to post from than IP addresses we've banned.
KittenAUTH will hopefully be updated soon. --Charles 01:42, 26 May 2011 (EDT)

If there is a way for Natural Allies to become a Capital Side, it has not been stated in the comic.

Known natural allies Sides:
* Daemons
* Elves
** Altruist Elves (used to be natural allies to Jetstone)
** Eager Elves
** Lofty Elves
** Luckless Elves
** Schlemiel Elves
** Shady Elves
** Superfluous Elves
** Tardy Elves
** Woodsy Elves
* Giants
** Western Giants (natural allies to Faq, formerly Jitterati)
* Gobwins (used to be natural allies to Gobwin Knob)
* Hobgobwins (natural allies to Gobwin Knob)
* Marbits (seem to be former natural allies to Jetstone)
* Witches
