Panel 1

Caesar, Vinny, and three other Transylvito Vampire Warlords are shown from behind in the foreground, and out in front is a wave of doombats. Beyond them is Stanleys dwagon force, and beyond them are another wave of doombats and Warlords.

The walls of the gap in the mountains loom tall, keeping the fight enclosed.
[edit]

Jillian Zamussels: 30-plus dwagons, with leadership and artifact bonuses.

Plus Knights with dance-fight bonus. And we have... eleven Warlords, four gwiffons, some Orlies and some bats.
[edit]

Panel 2

Another group of fliers, including Jillian, the gwiffons, and orlies observe the fighting from a distance. Jillian has her sword drawn in anticipation of entering the fray.[edit]

Jillian Zamussels: Vinny, how does Caesar think we can win this?

Vinny Doombats: Heh.

Transylvito Style.
[edit]

Panel 3

The unnamed Warlord that danced with Caesar and a Knight stab at each other with stilettos[1] atop a blue dwagon.

In the background, a dwagon falls, swarmed by bats, as another fights desperately.
[edit]

Vinny Doombats: "Don't write off the bats. Sure, unled Doombats are real weak.

But with a Warlord bonus?

Theyyy're... more like basic infantry units."
[edit]

Panel 4

Caesar, surrounded by doombats, advances on green, red, and brown dwagons (from left to right), surrounded by bats already.[edit]
Vinny Doombats: "Havin' the Chief Warlord in the hex adds another bonus, so every bat we got here is like advanced infantry." [edit]

Panel 5

Caesar comes down hard with an axe kick at Stanley, who raises the Arkenhammer to strike back.[edit]

Vinny Doombats: The ones in Caesar's personal stack'll have his full bonus, so they'll be almost like heavies.

And we have a flippin' ton of bats. Hundreds.

Still, it'll be tight.

We're gonna screen for Caesar, to get him a shot at Stanley.

Stanley the Tool: Van...
[edit]

Panel 6

From the head of the red dwagon, lightning radiates everywhere, blasting doombats in every direction. Caesar is knocked flying backwards from the blast.[edit]
Stanley the Tool: de Graaff![2] [edit]

Panel 7

Stanley grins cruelly as he races past the fighting. Jack, behind him, looks concerned. In the background doombats are scattered, not concentrated around dwagons as they had early in the fight.[edit]
Vinny Doombats: But if he gets by, you gotta stop him. [edit]

Panel 8

Jillian holds her sword straight forward, but her face has a look of confusion, not concentrated rage.[edit]

Jillian Zamussels: Oh, no.

That can't even be...
[edit]

Panel 9

The sclera of Jack's eyes are suddenly white, and the iris pink, where before the reverse was true. The madness has left his face, and he appears shocked.[edit]

Jillian Zamussels: Jack?

Sound Effect: COMPOS[3]

Jack Snipe: Jillian!
