| A Parson's-eye view of Maggie and several of the Magic Kingdom casters[1] bending over him as he finally regains consciousness. | [edit] |
|
Lord? Wake up, please. | [edit] |
| Seen from directly above, Maggie leads Parson toward the shimmering green portal, with the casters of the Magic Kingdom surrounding them on all other sides. | [edit] |
| We must go. | [edit] |
| Parson pauses in front of the portal to take one last backward look at the Magic Kingdom. In the foreground, two casters[2] keep watch. | [edit] |
| (There is no text in this panel.) | [edit] |
| Parson gapes open-mouthed, absolutely boggled by what he's seeing. | [edit] |
| Parson Gotti: ... | [edit] |
|
The ruins of the Gobwin Knob Portal Room are open to the outside. One wall and parts of the floor and ceiling survived, creating a niche in the mountainside. Parson and Maggie stand in this niche near the portal, while Sizemore crouches at the other side of what remains of the chamber. | [edit] |
|
Parson Gotti: Wow. Just... wow. Is anyone left? A scattering of Uncroaked. Sizemore Rockwell: Two Rock Golems. Maggie: Of the Coalition, nothing. | [edit] |
| Parson turns toward Sizemore, who is holding a shovel and grinning. The surrounding moutains can be seen in the background. | [edit] |
|
Parson Gotti: You, um... you guys did some damage, huh? Sizemore Rockwell: It was magnificent, Warlord. Horrifying, but... I can't describe it. I actually modified the terrain type, like a Titan. | [edit] |
| A closeup view of Sizemore's happy smile as he lifts his shovel and describes his experience. | [edit] |
|
Sizemore Rockwell: I learned more about this place in seconds than in all the rest of my life. Want to know one thing I learned? | [edit] |
| A beam of light from the head of Sizemore's shovel falls upon a nearby rock, causing a spot to glow green. Parson turns away to look out over the landscape as Maggie stands aloof in the background. | [edit] |
|
Parson Gotti: Uh, sure. Where's Wanda? Sizemore Rockwell: She went digging. Here, watch this. | [edit] |
| Sizemore's hands take hold of a large and neatly faceted green gem. | [edit] |
|
Sizemore Rockwell: We didn't mine out even a third of the gems in this mountain. I tried to blast the best pockets up to the surface. | [edit] |
| Sizemore holds the gem up in front of Parson. Parson reaches out toward the gem as he considers the implications. | [edit] |
|
Parson Gotti: How many? Sizemore Rockwell: I don't know! Millions' worth. We could be the richest side in Erfworld right now. | [edit] |
| What we see of Parson's face in the foreground shows a wide-eyed expression as he takes in this development. Behind him is a doorway that survived the collapse, from which a faint red light and a voice emanate. | [edit] |
|
Parson Gotti: That's, uh-- Wanda Firebaugh: Ahaa! Hahaa! | [edit] |
| Wanda is now wearing a particularly skimpy red outfit, mostly consisting of a bikini, forearm bracers, and boots. Her right hand is raised to grasp one side of an object concealed behind a nimbus of bright red sparkles. She is laughing maniacally.[3] | [edit] |
| Wanda: Ahaahahaahahaa! | [edit] |
Notes
- ^ Clockwise from Maggie, the faces resemble:
- Zatanna from the DC Comics universe
- The Scarlet Witch from the Marvel Comics universe
- Possibly Zatara, Zatanna's occasionally-dead father.
- ^ These are two of the casters seen when Parson first arrived: the "Wicked Witch of the West" and "Doctor Strange".
- ^ This is the first time we have seen Wanda laugh, and she previously claimed that she never does.
